I played with strippers their last age and then they changed to debauchery once the original monarch left and Cody took over. I still play with a couple ex debauchery. i was with DD a long time before i gave up on the game and anyone who has warred them (unless things have changed dramatically) will tell you they are as gracious in defeat as they are humble in victory, but just like any other kd if the trolling begins they will reply in the same manner.
now, 'power players' is not something you can attribute to DD, they have lost more wars than won if i remember right and many times struggled to break 5 million nw, they did not ever use the sudden 'random' hits routine others use to weaken the top provs before war, they would never call friends in as others would and if they were losing they would WD in a timely manner, none of this dragging wars on way past the sell by date.
the fact is, the server is so much smaller now and people are starting to notice a trend by these old alliance/power play/bottom feeding players, namely they create or manipulate a conflict, start threads in here using the 'we are being bullied' rubbish then garner support and get all the old friends to join in but it is quite strange and very refreshing to see that it is DD getting all the support, players are sick to death of the douchebags that have ruined and are continuing to ruin the game, yet they are allowed to keep doing it as long as it is 'within the rules' and i see they now claim razing into peoples wars as a legit strategy, from the very first day i began playing this game until i left hitting into other peoples wars was probably the biggest 'crime' within the game yet now they claim it to be 'legit'? (i guess this is simply because they no longer have the numbers or support they once had to make a full on assault, i may be wrong though)
it is time people bonded together to stop this cancer within the game so everyone can get on and play, have fun, interact with others from around the world and play fair, would that be so hard to do?
maybe then i might make a return to the game i played from 1999 until a few ages ago, maybe then we might be able to encourage new players or some of the players who left for the very same reason i did.

I recall your avatar and coolness from old posts along with a couple of the others. I'm pretty much aware of this kind of thing, but what surprised me was the players in DD. I guess the forum is considered the forbidden zone so we don't see a lot of the old players.
I'm familiar with the personalities involved and find this an odd exchange. Since I'm a kingdom hopper the community griefing rarely affects me. It's apparent how harmful it can be to the old kingdoms. In this I have concerns.

meh, I think the folks DD for the most part have discovered this is nothing personal (at least not from me) and everyone is pretty reconciled to things now.
FWIW, if use of terms like I used was truly offensive to anyone, I am sorry about that. I don't really go around trying to offend people. I just call things like I see it and I was shocked to find out people were offended at all. That said, other than that, I would not have changed a thing I have done. This is a game and we all play it how we play it to have fun. So we all just enjoy. Yay.

1) Everybody benefits from multies. New provinces are able to feed off of them to grow since they do not retaliate and do not train much if at all. Their gold can be stolen by anybody, as can their food and runes. When multies (and we are using this word loosely, since its nigh impossible to differentiate multies from inactives and I would argue all inactives are likely multies) comprise a large portion of a single kingdom (A), the kingdoms which attack (A) benefit from the inflated KD NW and the additional targets. In cases that reach war they benefit again because of declaration size constraints and the fact that multies and inactives take up province slots otherwise useable by actual provinces.Quote:

The problem is only aggravated by the shrinking player base and the fact that the skill gap is now entirely insurmountable. Which is sad because even modern top kingdoms are on a downwards slope and have been for many ages. Nothing you suggest will resolve the issue of disparate skill levels, activity, goals, and the shrinking player base.
Bishop has done everything in his power to implement changes that level the playing field for ghettos. From weakening bottom feeding to eliminating proper banks to decreasing the importance of hyper activity. Nothing satisfies you lot because you're too bad to even notice these changes, let alone make use of them. You are all blind, deaf and dumb and hurting yourselves bumping into sharp objects in a dark room and you can't call for or hear calls for help. Which is to say, you're incapable of helping yourselves or each other. And I would argue you blinded, deafened, and removed your tongues yourselves by refusing to improve. At every opportunity. Over many years.

The knowledge, experience, and general atmosphere of 'top' kingdoms guarantee that the disparity will never really lessen.
