With this recruitment feature, do we have a feature or Monarch function that could stop those incoming new players to join that monarch's kingdom? There are situations that this feature can be useful.
Another, stopping those players who defected from other kingdom to join a kingdom? Think this feature could save us from putting our energy to unnecessary clean up activities, or the like.
This activity thing is flawed... I am online 12-18 hours a day and I have 2 bars... Most nights I wake up as well (if army requires being sent out). So Bishop, what you are saying is that if someone logs in 4 times for 5 min each per 24h in fixed intervals they will have 3 bars of activity and be deemed more active than me? That is false logic.
No, they would have the same activity as you if you do log in over an 18 hour period.
Hmmm, if petrified is not at the max bar, who is?
The problem is that it’s a huge factor when kingdoms are recruiting so it very important, that its precise and fair.
You can of course create a macro to log in for you, if it works like that and you feel cheated, but that just lame.
Can you elaborate some more on the activity formula to get casual, active and hardcore.
Is it measured over one day and updated every day, or is at an average over like a week?
Do you only count the logins? If your session never times out because you are active alle the time over the 18 hour period you will only get one login, maby thats the problem?
Consider this:
1. Being active for 12 hours straight will only get you into three time blocks, probably four unless you are unlucky and starting on a fresh time block. Lets say it gives you three "login"
2. Keep those blocks but also keep a block for every hour, to keep track of user like petrified and make them count as half logins or so.
3. Keep limits on being casual, active, hardcore as well.
The formula could be like this:
logins = (activity in 4 hour blocks ) + ( (activity in 1 hour blocks - activity in 4 hour blocks) / 2)
In our example you would get
logins = 3 + ( (12 - 3) / 2) = 7,5
That should be more than enough to get you to hardcore where I would thin petrified belongs.
Just saw it is 6 hour blocks that are the large ones and not 4 hours, but the general idea still applies. Maby divide by 3 instead of two in the formula.
