UF NEWS: Myrmidons take control of The Stronghold

and I could of broken at the very least half of your kd being <400 acres.

In the end it was a damn fun war and dispite withdrawing, we felt like we could of continued. I don't want to talk too much about details but your smaller ones was going to have difficulty paying there wages with 300 pesants and 98% tax rate on aid, we had the econ to continue the war on for a few more weeks if needed, to be honest tho that wouldn't of been fun, esp over x'mas.

We entered the war as underdogs and we was 1 player down on factual numbers... and in the end we basically lost by 41 hits in total, our orcs made on average that number of hits. For us it is a good war, we got stuff out of it and we had fun. The loss isn't "hard to accept" as there are good points, as I said, we only had 1 person worth of attacks to equal theres. If that 1 person averaged only 100 acres per hit(I averaged more dispite dispite being in the smaller section of our kd) then we could of won on acre gains as well.

It would of been better if both kds was 100% ready but that I found hardly ever happens, sometimes warring ghettos becomes so boring it can drive a man insane, for us we just have to take on a decent challenge.
How decent was they tho? They only JUST managed to beat a ghetto kd like ourselves ;)

tufkuki out of principle now I don't respond to anonymous trolls so tell us who you play for and i'll start reading your posts.

legend you can argue whatever you want but you can't deny the fact that we had 24 provinces to start with, a 400 acre halfer who had been inactive for close to a month that helped you guys alot since you stole and plundered a **** ton of gc from him, a province who started in protection 3 hours before the war started, and another province who was at 500 acres when the war started. If you look at the numbers from the war, if we had the 3 extra attackers starting at 1500 acres and if we had our 2nd faery in the war things would have been much different. being down 4 lost the war for us and we knew it would when we started but we wanted to see how we would preform and we had some other goals in mind. if you want to think this war wasn't terribly uneven to start with and you won it by outstrategizing and outplaying us then go for it, whatever helps you sleep at night. we already said GG and got over it since there really wasn't anything to get over; you need to simmer down and just accept the facts that you won a 22 v 25 war.

also when i say we had the T/M advantage I was referring to the fact that we have 14 provinces who were A/T, A/M and a faery. also who had the better dragon funding is debatable but all i know is we had a dragon on you 24/7, while there were stretches of time when you did not have a dragon on us.

Breaking someone for 40 acres because your nw is 80k is not the same as breaking someone for 380 acres st 300k NW. Wages at 400 acres don't really matter. If I get aided 40k gold or steal it that pays my wages for 24 hours. Also you we had Fluffy waving us twice before you hit the button. So basically the 24 hours before war we had an hybrid heavy kingdom doing ops on us while an all orc kingdom hit us with about two waves. Also we raze killed someone that was a count/sage with a ton of science. If the war went on we would have been able to bring down all your top provinces easily. You guys lost the ability to chain any of our elves or orcs. You only had 4 guys that were unbreakable at the end of the war. And that was only as long as they didn't attack or we didn't do a NS run on them.

You weren't down 4 players. You had 1 inactive plus needing to fill in one province we also had one inactive. You were down another province because we killed him in hostile and he had to reset. You had a 500 acre province because we also razed him down in hostile. You had like 7 unbreakable provinces when war started plus the first wave on us with us having no incoming land. On top of that Fluffy waved us twice while we were hostile to you. So basically we fought 24 versus 23 provinces.

the hostile portion where we didn't attack at all? who exactly was your inactive, was it a faery who would log on occasionally to use up mana and stealth? when i say inactive player i am referring to someone who hasn't logged on for weeks now and who pretty much quit this game and just stockpiled gc for you guys to plunder. not someone who wasn't fully active during the war. we had plenty of guys who couldn't log on for a day, one of our big halfers actually was at a wedding and missed the first 36 hours of war but im not including him in all this because that's different. hope i am not confusing you.

you won a war fighting a smaller kingdom 22 v 25 after they came out of a war. you guys didn't outplay anyone, more like outbullied for a pointless war win. at least we enjoyed the war, hope you did too.

Actually you were not bullied. Both kingdoms started with about the same NW during hostile and both kingdoms were the same land size when you pushed the button. If you didn't want to war all your king had to do was offer to CF. You tried to fight a retal war against a kingdom your same size and ended up losing big. We beat you down despite the fact we were also being waved by another kingdom twice prior to you hitting the button.

Interesting war - I look forward to reading the details. The game is won by activity more than by strategy isn't it? (i.e. it's much more advantageous to invest X hours in improving activity than X hours in improving strategy.) Another inference we might make is - the players at the top aren't the most skillful - but rather those who are most willing to spend time on the game. Hmmmm.

we fought a retal war for a bit because boko refused to CF unless we let you guys farm us out for 24 hours and do mass learns on us as well. this was after you hit us for a lot more land and science than we hit you for. then for another day and a half you started to spam razes on our guys while we didn't hit back at all and tried to get a CF. also being waved is not a big deal as you should be aware, it just helps your percentages if anything.

you had 4 more able provinces to start the war and that's all it takes to win a war in this game. yes strategy can play a big part in it, but if anything i can make the argument we had the better strategy and play, unfortunately we were down far too many to start the war. one of the reasons we went into this war was to try to learn from it and become a stronger kingdom, and we should definitely war again sometime when we have 25 strong. i know where to find boko so we'll get a rematch sometime.

Nive - your monarch was online, we offer CF as had been agreed upon, he hops offline (there was 6 hours of no attacks as we waited for DDodge to hop on so we could CF), then attackers flood us with complaints of MS, etc. The we get two full waves from fluffy who focuses only on our heavy attackers, then you press the button, and your supreme turtle strat failed miserably. We had 13 provinces between your turtles and your attackers. When one of your genius provinces WSed, he got dropped. When one of your big provs razed and failed an attack, he got dropped. When one of your big guys manned up to hit a province near his size, it got dropped. See a pattern? maybe if your turtle halfers spent more time trying to take down the orcs from the top and less time eating MS and 5-tapping land defense provs, the war might have ended differently.

i asked for one wave. not 24 hrs of farming. it was a mix of learns and marches that were sent during the 12 hrs yall had to stop everything and then accept CF.

started razing when you didnt show up to accept CF and then continued to op again.

you are right if our big guys played a bit differently we might have had a much longer war that would have ended in our favour. this was a good learning experience for some of our newer players.

and if we were not down 3 able attackers and our count faery during the war, then things for sure would have been different :s

My opinion is that he is on a power trip - and needs taking down a rung or two (not necessarily in-game, which is why I'm typing here to heap some scorn on him). Sadly - like I've always said - online war games are like Lord of the Flies. You always have Jack Merridews who shatter Ralph's sets of glasses and kill Simons. If it's any comfort, they tend to be ashamed when their dirty deeds are uncovered by the Naval Officer who rescues them from the desert island.

aremarf: imho you seem to be rather biased against E_Boko. I don't see how his paper is harder to read than DDodge message cyclus.

The main issue is that both stories conflict. DDodge says they have been sitting duck while being ignored in CF negotations while E_Boko states that they keep retalling for ops blankets or other retals combined with no in-game CF.

In my opinion, DDodge did seek to find a resolution to end the situation. Although I can understand that as a kingdom that wants CF it is not beneficial to the peace making process if some kingdom mates make retals / cast spells, after 5 days or so of constant attacking / Forcing CF I would let it slide. Most likely it was a strategic move on E_Boko's part to pursue rather draconic measures against the retals of DDodge's kingdom as an attempt to stay in active hostile and not having to war Fluffylicious.

I still say DDodge should've just sent that CF. At one point you really had nothing more to lose and it would pull Icey out of active hostile. You guys decide to war instead and you are happy with the results so I suppose one can't complain.

I'm just a ghetto noob looking at the drama in the big leagues - I'm not with the Truth and Reconciliation Committee or things like that (i.e. I'm not here to right wrongs or obtain justice). I think you probably have a better handle on the strategy side of things too. I just want to show my dislike for people like E Boko (who talk like thugs), because of bad experiences with them in various games. Just because they're on top doesn't mean they have to let that "power" get to their heads. Furthermore, DDodge has been rather well-spoken, hasn't he? That's a good thing, in my book.

Anyway - it's just my single person's opinion, and my opinion shouldn't matter to the bigwigs over here... I'm just messing around in the ghetto and will never affect your gaming experience (except when you farm me during the first couple of weeks).

i had typed up a response to your erroneous post, but then i re-read yours and realized you forged stuff and edited dates and lied about it all. I realize that theres no point continuing, since its the internet. If you were in an actual Lincoln-Douglass debate you'd get canned cause you failed to address points and posted false **** regarding everything else in some sort of sway-the-topic maneuver.

It works online. I cant force you to tell the truth.... wont get you too far in life though big guy. And who cares if ur a better liar/diplomatic in utopia. There's a lot of QUALITY people in this game. A lot of quality monarchs that we've had diplomacy with and fun wars.

There is no reason not to believe E boko because everyone knows how Utopia works. You wave a kingdom that kingdom either hits back for a retal war, presses the button, or offers a CF. You opted for number 1 a retal war. Our response was to raze kill a province.

Re: formatting - yes that will make your writing more lucid, I hope. Good justification for having been taught presentation skills in school, isn't it? (Although some people say school is a waste of time and the crucible of the real world, e.g. Utopia Forums, are a better teacher. It's free too, and doesn't cost taxpayers too!)

Re: perceived to be a thug - I extend my suggestion to Midoki to do some textual analysis of his utterances (based on Systemic Functional Grammar, or Critical Discourse Analysis, etc; for more info see my reply to him) to you as well. In fact, I highly recommend it. You might (at long last?) realise why some people perceive you to be a thug and bully boy, on just the basis of your words alone.

DDodge has something there about integrity you might do good to take to heart. I can also add here too: how you speak and present yourself to the world affects people's opinions of you.

ok 2 things.

1) you never went to politics, clicked on CF tab, typed in my kingdom #, and then click Give Orders! so you never gave a CF nub. i was done talking to you when you kept ignoring the part where i said free wave = CF. after 3 messages of you saying i cant agree to a free wave then it becomes what it became.

2) do i need to take screen shots of the news now? i know im going to be missing the inital 2 days of hostile now since the news is so far back but i can still get the other dates with me. but then im probably gonna be a mastermind of photoshop when i present them lol.

See bro its that kind of thinking that people have a bad opinion of you, Just be honest and straight and you will do well enough. im sure you can photoshop just fine so no need to go to the trouble. At this point all that can be said has and people will have their own opinion anyway.
