1: its based on your total offense ratio elites/specs - not what you send. I,e there is no negative in sending your elites.
2: poor military is there to counter their other buffs in general, yes.

But after that initial start time is over, an elf could easily swap them out and never need them again for the rest of the age. I'd certainly use arms in protect as an elf.. just for the sake of having a bigger army than anyone else oop. But others may not. It would be wrong to assume EVERYONE is going to use them. That's like assuming everyone is going to use schools during a sci pump.
true. everyone who knows what their doing will have arms up to train because it is the most cost effective.
also, even as elf I'd use arms to recover. again, cost effective.
* Undeads convert will be a 10% base on successful trad marches against non-hit opponents of similar networth in a similar sized kingdom when you do not oversend. We will also significantly boost it if your total offense is specialists, on a sliding scale.
"not hit before" ??? Not before me or others ? what time frame ?
Suggestion: "not hit by U in the last 5 Udays."
Define: non-hit opponents ?
* thanks again for keeping the game alive. Best wishes
Seeing as elite conversion will be directly correlated to attack gains, the conversion will take into account how often you have been hit in the recent history, otherwise known as gangbang protection.
So If Target hit by someone ... I loss conversion ?
Clarify - Time frame of NON conversion after hit.
i.e. Target must not be hit in last 5 Udays.
Does this mean, it only kicks in with your first attack (or when you have 0 elites), or when you are attacking without using elites?Quote:

What I understood is, if an attack was made with only specs, you get the extra conversion boost, and I guess I may be wrong there
"What I understood is, if an attack was made with only specs, you get the extra conversion boost, and I guess I may be wrong there"
no. there is a sliding scale based on 10% conversion rate and elites in your army. if you have 0% elites, that sliding scale will double to 20%. it is then modded by similar things that affect land gains. if you hit someone 1/2 your size, your conversion is going to suck.
A quick question, do bounces spread the plague?
Undead are going to be trying not to oversend against oppponents if at all possible, and they're going to want to send out specs as much as possible so that they can be converted to elites, but that's going to leave elites at home, so they're going to want to save a general for the all elite army to either do another successful attack or just bounce since they don't lose elites when they attack, but they can still inflict casualties. Would make it even better to be an UD if they could spread plague like that... Don't think that you can spread the plague through bounces though, but I wanted a bit of confirmation.
Any contact.
Well, that's no fun for non UDs in war :P UDs actually have an incentive, other than to preserve elites, to bounce attack with extra elites during war.
"but that's going to leave elites at home,"
why? conversion is total army, not army sent.
Conversion rate is dependent on total army %. If your conversion rate is 15% and you send 10K specs, then you convert 1.5K into elites. Now let's say that you still have the same conversion rate, but this time you send some of your elites in. 7K specs and 2K elites. In that case, you'd only convert 1050 into elites. Same rate, but a big difference in actual conversions.
Also, as I pointed out above, UDs have an incentive to save a general for their leftover elites to either do a side hit or a bounce for 3 reasons: a.) stop elites from dying on defense. b.) you have potential for spreading the plague to the target even if you bounce c.) you inflict losses on the enemy even if you bounce, and you don't lose anyone!
