And as Korp and Bishop and yourself appear to be the most well reknowned folk on the whole server you above all should have initiated contact to discover the issue before making threats. If reknown is indeed an indicator of expected behaviour as you suggest above.

2) Why wouldn't we threaten that? It is the simplest way for us to retaliate against you. Sometimes you step on a hornets nest. It happens. Make the best of it next time.

We may or may not be renown for different reasons. But we aren't riding on our renown or our past achievements here. We haven't claimed to be famous or important. That is all you, buddy. We've just had a laugh at your boasting and so-called reputation because you've no reason to boast and have no reputation. And wow, your claim to 'know' our monarch (Korp) by being in contact with Octo (not in KD). Just ****ing golden. Apparently we are so renown you don't know us? I guess it's mutual. And I don't care.

And lets not even begin to address the fact that you constantly misrepresent Korp and Octo's statements in a feeble attempt to gain leverage through rhetoric. We know exactly what Octo said to you and the words 'not that impressed' weren't in the transcript - but thats what you claimed he said. Just like you are unable to follow conversations on IRC without getting confused or recognize that 'conflict' and 'hostile' are essentially interchangeable and interfering in either qualifies for what ghettos term '**** play and bullying'.

You want to spend 6 weeks razing us, be my guest. But I've played a lot of ages with nothing to do and if this isn't resolved by EoA I won't be lacking motivation next age, let me tell you.

I don't see in what universe the onus is on them to be civil when you just start razing into an active conflict. Is it really that hard to grab a SN then tell them what the deal is before you do anything?

I mean how would you like it if during this debacle you got yourselves into all of a sudden out of the blue a bunch of kingdoms 3x your size just started razing you with no reaching out to sort things diplomatically first? Judging by a lot of the responses in this thread I'd imagine you'd be the first to be complaining that these bigger kingdoms are ruining the game.

I get that there is an ego issue with them, but DD has a lot of players that are either fairly new - or don't land in the autism spectrum like most of the rest of us likely do, and still have a lot to learn about the game. Play like this is detrimental to the advancement of the game, and only discourages people from playing. Which is why it sickens me that Bishop and his kingdom plays like this. If anything, they should be promoting a style of play that makes people want to *join* the game, not quit.
But this is just another nail in the coffin, proving that Bishop has no interest in keeping this game alive. The numbers will continue to dwindle until there is nothing left.

Yes, there are two sides to every story. And no doubt both sides are coloring the story to benefit themselves. And just like every other conflict, the truth likely lands somewhere in the grey zone...but from what I can see Sheister is clearly the instigator, dragging this on much longer than it needs to be...because he feels empowered by his "Lol if I get RK'd I can just restart and continue to harass them and let them RK me over and over" attitude...knowing full well that there won't be many others interested in joining the party, since they have their own interests to guard. And that's just a ****ty, trollish way to go about things that says a lot about who you are as a person.

Indeed, this has gone on too long. and as a Game representative Bishop should have put this crap down long ago. It does the game any good and only lowers the moral of those new players we try to cultivate into the game. No wonder M****a grows as Utopia dwindles away.

Each time they would CF the kingdom he was in, and each time he would defect and pick up where he left off or wait for their next war. Unable to grasp the finer points of diplomacy, this ghetto decided to chase him rather than work out a reasonable CF deal. So three wars later and several thousand acres razed, sheister was invited into the Republic of Octobrev to help **** with Strippers.

It is at this point that the self-proclaimed famous ghetto he had been quarrelling with decided they would continue to raze him despite having an agreement with his previous monarch. And they opted to do this into our very long, very active hostile. It is at this juncture that I will begin using the words "hostile" and "conflict" interchangeably, because there is no difference, but the ghetto in question seems to have a hard time wrapping their head around that.

We obviously did not take very kindly to this interference in our conflict with Strippers - sheister was now an honoured member of the Republic of Octobrev and thus his problem, this unwarranted razing, became our problem. Korp took the time to inform said ghetto of this and reiterated that just like sheister, we would raze into their future wars as retribution should they not desist. They opted instead to begin razing Korp, and then Bishop, while continuing to claim in #tactics that they were targeting only one province.

And now I will present you all with some of the more memorable quotes to come out of our correspondence with them:




At this stage both kingdoms are coordinating attacks so I'd like to congratulate them on that impressive achievement, particularly Strippers since they are absolutely incompetent.
As it stands both kingdoms are now locked in an unwinnable struggle to raze us until we leave them alone and neither is willing to negotiate.

In the spirit of the #acres4octo campaign that this kingdom began in age 58?, our condition for ceasefire and allowing them to continue their age unabated is 5k acres to Octo. Alternatively the deletion of Abi's province is also acceptable.

Yes, Korp, they razed into your kingdom. Because they were being threatened all age (regardless of how it started) and having their wars effed with all age by the person you took in. All sides agree that they started with only hitting Sheister. You can't invite somebody who is in the middle of an age-long conflict with an entire kingdom and just expect that kingdom to say "Oh he's in a new kingdom now, guess I'll leave him alone" when he has been bouncing around all age, razing them regardless of position. There shouldn't need to be terms. Just step off your dick measuring contest and either offer or accept a CF. No terms. Just accept that neither side is going to agree and take it. I know for a fact that one side (The side you claim is more childish) will accept a CF proposal just to end the conflict - but you seem dead set on continuing your trollish fight.

I direct you to the flogger quote in sheister's signature. Utopia is dead. A big reason is because of unmotivated ****holes like Strippers, and another big reason is know-nothing ghettos like DD thinking they are hot **** and bullying people like they are trying now.

As for Bishop, I can't speak to how he wants this to be resolved. But the only resolution I see personally is DD disbanding. They're obviously too stubborn to move on.

If I resume the logic behind this whole discussion, according to the so called leets from the past ghetto :

1. it's ok to oow raze another kd 2 wars in a row, but it's not ok to raze into a kd in hostile with another one (and not close to war them cuz of NW difference). The second option cost 5k acres, the first option is legit and cost nothing.
2. DD aren't age after age top tier kd, so they need to bend over anytime they random hit somewhere.

DD wants to move on since the start of the story, but with Sheister continuous oow hitting, for a freaking failed abduct, seems like logic is broken somewhere...

Top KDs simply avoid these kind of situations the best they can, they know what's good for them and what's really bad for them.

When someone like Korp hits you you have two choices:
1) Bend over and hope he goes away (he usually does)
2) Make it your goal to raze him for the rest of the age and have no other goals

Don't worry, I understand what kind of players they are. I'm playing similar games for more than 15 years and Utopia for 2 years now.

I've seen a lot of conflicts in my text based war game life, but it's the first time I've experienced such a bad behavior from a province, w/o any actions from the admin.

Oh! I forgot the facts that the admin actually play the game (fail #1) and that his kingdom invited Sheister (fail #2).

You miss an obvious point Takao. That Utopia is as much a social experiment as it is a war game or strategy game. :)

It may piss you off or grief you; but that is part of the core of utopia.

That if you piss someone off and he doesn't like you then he and his mates can make your age a failure.

Where it is different to real life is that in game harassment is part of it. :)

He's not breaking any game rules. You can't call upon admin action here. I'd improve my diplomacy first and foremost. You should have known what you were getting yourself into the moment you started razing people. You picked option number two and I don't actually know what you are crying about right now. You are playing their game and as such you have already lost the moment you made that decision. If you want to move on to other things with you kingdom swallow some of that pride and see how that goes, I'll be the first one to defend you if they don't budge after that.

Utopia can be brutal , and it doesn't have the safeguards normal life has.

There is nothing stopping Steel/Korp hitting into your wars as long as they feel they want to or you can stop them somehow. :)

I'll add that I'm a DD since I joined Uto 2 years ago. Even if they weren't a top kd (and I don't care anymore about leets kd, I won my share of ages in the past in similar games + I have real life going on), I love the way they played and the ethics behind it. I wasn't found on the situation with Sheister, and to tbh, I foresee what is happening now. But I don't have enough time to be monarch or stewart and deal with such issue and I'm glad we have Abi to deal with that.

One of us adbucted Sheister and got 0 scientist. He goes crazy about it with excessive terms to avoid us with the consequences of being oow razed. We refused his terms since he wasn't monarch/stewart and the terms were a toatal abuse. He razed us over 80x in the last 2 wars we did. If it's good ethics, maybe we should all change our way to play.

Maybe we should all be deleted by Bishop. The victim card will not work on me. I've told you what it would take for me to join your side in this forum war but you keep dismissing your part of the blame like it doesn't even exist, you are not even discussing it. I can completely understand if my services as a forum warrior are not needed or asked for here - I'll promptly leave you to it on your own and show myself out. Was fun regardless :D

Until that point nobody even knew he was over there.. so please establish the correct facts before accusing us of making it about anyone.
