why not make a poll that you send ingame to all the monarchs and ask them if they prefer to extend the age or to start over for a 4 week round?
from personal experience - when mehul cut an age short at 7 weeks - short ages are a waste of time - when he did that we were just getting started and the age was over.

a poll or survey sent in game to monarchs sounds like a good idea

so short age idea sucks all this is upseting and confusing players in my kingdom

Unfortunately OMAC listened to the few who posted for the shortened age and the mini age, and didn't take the overall picture into consideration.
I agree that the short age is a waste, and it will be chaos. You think monarchs are bad at not withdrawing now? wait until we have a 4 week age and get stuck in a war when the age gets extended to 8.
Disagree that short ages are a waste. The problem in that particular age was not knowing ahead of time it'd be a short one.
Maybe OMAC realized the beta testing of new code might take longer than expected and they don't want all players to start yelling "end the age already!!" when it will get to the half month into June.
thats presuming they will have it completed by June.

1. The chance of it only being 4 weeks is very small
2. No, everybody else would not think it's fun to play a 20 week age. I'd have preferred the current age to end today

Why do you think short age is waste of time? Imo OOP and 2 weeks into age are most fun parts of age. Everyone starts from equal grounds and everything is open..
4 weeks is not enough time - it is going to be very frustrating for the ghetto kds for one - they will be beat up on by the top kds who have nothing to lose by staying small 4 weeks
also we still going to get 6 trades/moves for the 4 week age? that will be peachy think of all the legally made custom kds - they just got 2 extra moves and now they will have 6 more and a month later 6 more -- add that together and they get to move more than half a kd into theirs in 4 weeks time...
4 weeks could easily mean that kds only get 1-2 war in this short age - the age mehul cut it short at 7 weeks was extremely frustrating -- 4 is practically half that time --
there is a lot of speculation that it might take longer due to omac's track record on meeting deadlines. if this is the case why not say you are going to have a 6-8 week age? instead - i dont know about YOUR kd but my kd will definitely do things differently for a 4 week age than for an 8 week age....
Precisely. Can really ruin KD plans to have it changed from 4 weeks to 8 weeks. A bit more certainty would be much appreciated, I hope they'll be able to let us know by age start in a week.Quote:

-90% of the kingdoms will lose any bit of organisation they have. OMAC doesn't understand how 90% of the players play this game. They only listen to the 10% of people who think of themselves as utopian gods.
-You don't have time to build up and reach your goals. Instead it's like: let's try and get 1 war win.
And then build up from scratch. Again. and again.

As for 2nd thing, I kinda don't understand it. What, cos age is short you got less chances to win nw crown if that is your goal?

Coming from what is likely considered a 'ghetto' kingdom, I like the idea of a short age. The first 2-4 weeks are the most fun. After that, it gets stale. By week 8, I'm ready for the age to reset, because I know my own province/kingdom can't grow due to all the kingdoms above us.
Who really enjoys weeks 8 - 12, anyway? Let alone reaching into 20 weeks.
I also agree with an above poster - the vocal majority represent a minority of the game. Have a Monarch poll to see what the Majority of the game wants. Why not? What do you have to lose?
