Legalizing trading is easily the most controversial change in Utopia for years, with profound effects on the game. Some would say it's for the better, some would say it's for the worse. I'm interested in seeing how many players approve of the change and how it was implemented. If you disagree with the implementation, please discuss the problems here and offer a remedy.
We all know where I stand in this.

i dont think stopping trading is/was possible, legalising it just allowed the ghettos to do what the top kingdoms had been doing for years. I think they way it was implemented was fine, but i would possibly have allowed provinces that went inactive for 10 days to become floating provs.
Ghettos have been trading as long as top kingdoms have. If you are for or against it is one issue but I think the current system still somewhat ends up being a half way house of limited legit trading and probably isn't the best implementation.
I don't really think it should have been added in as I do not believe that Jolt/S&B/whoever actually has any clear idea where they want to take the game and didn't at the time either. Trading has been a massive issue for years and I do think the changing nature of the state of internet gaming means that it would be good to review the position on it but when you have no clue where you want to go making random changes that aren't thought out aren't really helpful.
Thought it was a great change to the game and something that needed to happen.

Bishop - because the ghettos don't have any sources of knowledge to learn from. All of the semi-decent provs that would have normally just toughed it out and tried to teach them just took the better option and moved a more suiting kd.
thats only true if you believe that top kds did not recruit talent from mid kds before, and that wasnt the case though.Quote:
