    What's the best for A/T

    Thought human shepherd could be possible but with all these changes? Is shepherd any good anymore? Human war hero?

    Gnomes
    * Thievery Effectiveness : +40%
    * Food Consumption : +100% (new)
    * Cost of Thieves : -50%
    * Population Limit : +15%
    * Homes increase pop by 10 instead of 8 (new)
    * Birth Rates : -25%
    * No Access to Hospitals
    * Specific Spellbook – Quick Feet, Town Watch, Vermin
    * Specific Spellbook – no longer have War Spoils
    * Elite Unit – Golem (5/4, $250, 4.5 nw)

    Do you really have to ask? Anyways not going Gnome for a serious A/T is probably a mistake, whenever you see a gnome assumeing that its a hybrid A/T is probably reasonable enough a assumption, because they most likely are.

    Im gonna say:

    Gnome/Warrior
    Gnome/Warhero
    Gnome/Cleric
    Gnome/Sage

    should all make fine Attack/thieves.

    lol at posting gnome/war hero and not gnome/rogue...

    Anything with cleric is a failure.

    Cleric is weak, there are much better options for a gnome.

    You don't even need a full chain; 3 hits on a cleric and it will be overpopped to hell. -20% losses AND perma-animate dead?

    reason I didnt list /rogue is because most thieves just use NSs... as long as you have that your good to go.

    rogue doesnt do much for the attacker part of your Attacker/thief province.

    Thus why I didnt list it, but instead warrior,sage,cleric,warhero.

    nfidel2k, a active province could just send out soldiers to other KD members or release them into peasentry.

    Rogue gives +33% NS power, that's way better for an A/T than what war hero gives for example. The choice is between warrior and rogue imo.

    People choose Rogue for the +1 stealth, not the extra ops. It will always be a top choice for thieves.

    Merchant shouldn't be overlooked either. You can run a higher draft, raising your tpa, since your economy will be automatically stronger.

    I went with Gnome/Sage for A/T this age. Anticipating lots of Undeads, I want to avoid plague. Plus I'll be able to boost my modifiers quickly for the short age, especially food since my people will be hungry.

    Any race can pull off A/T. The more obvious choices are Gnome and Human with Elf and Delf behind them. Since it's a short age, I would go with Gnome since they have the headstart on Humans. Though if played right, Humans can catch up fairly quickly. Gnome is the easier choice IMO.

    Though I have to say, prepare for the onslaught. There's going to be lots of Orcs and Undeads out there giving us Gnomes the glad eye.

    Though I'm biased. A/T is my prefered style of play and Gnome is my fav race. My top 3 choices are: (in no particular order)

    Gnome/Rogue
    Gnome/Merchant
    Gnome/Sage

    The Cleric (new)
    * Spell effect Animate Dead is always active
    * -20% troop losses on all attacks

    ON ALL ATTACKS... im thinking that means only offense, not on defense. I cant wait to confirm this.
