From a neutral point of view it seemed like an unnecessary dig at Pyro. The win left a lot of egg on many faces, and was impressive enough that it spoke for itself.

Everyone will remember this war for a long time to come and while FS is talking about how fun it was, I'm not sure it's as mutual as your guys think it was.

Having said that I totally understand the urge to go "told you so". It would just have been even more impressive to let it go.

I don't believe a single member of pyro has said a single derrogatory thing about FS since the conclusion. I have plenty to say about other things, but I have not said one word about them.

I too have done exactly what FS did to kingdoms in the past. I am not surprised by it, more that people in my KD did not know how to counter it. I could have brought that up earlier than I did, but I was not really paying attention. Stuff happens, FS prevailed. Its done. I am going back to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz for the rest of the age now.

And yes Pyro was good sport about war once it was over.
In fact they stoped even before once it became evident we were turning the side.

Personally I wasnt overly insulted by their early trashtalk, but than again I rly dont care much about uto any more ... its more of a chore for me.
I do understand some people feel different though, and take it more seriously.

I do think ppl on both sides should take a step back and look at arguments and try to understand other sides pov.
Its a shame to ruin the friendship over empty words said in heat of the moment.

What most people in FS old and current players seems to miss that this dislike wasn't born out of thin air. There was an action and a reaction. But every FS affiliated person keeps on the blind circle jerking and refuse to see that they might have done something to warrant dislike.

Well people can disslike us all they want, and peoples truth is their own. Some can think we are douches and some can think we are not.
Im happy to be a part of FS, it's a good gang of people and ive been in FS for some time now, i even think im one of the oldest members that's left :P Damn, Viking power! :)

Anyways, this war will be remembered, in my head as a epic fight with a KD i really like, i have a really big respect for Pyro, and i stated that to them when the war started and it hasnt changed.

You guys were playing like ****. You were playing so poorly that you as the monarch were considering surrendering. Then you cite pyro's attitude as the reason you decided not to surrender. When a monarch is thinking to himself "Man, we're playing like ****. We should probably surrender" and then decides not to because he doesn't like the way the other kingdom is talking to him, that's bad. In the other case, if the actual reason you didn't surrender wasn't because of Pyro's attitude, but rather a prevailing faith in your ability to execute as a kingdom and establish a comeback, then you're just trying to throw some extra jabs at Pyro and make the war loss even worse for them. As if they had just had a better attitude, then they would have won. If that's the case, then that's just as bad.


I'm not sure why I'm getting so much shade out of the FS corner. I wasn't in here stomping my feet about how you guys should surrender. Is FS above objective criticisms?

You're making things out of simple honest statements about how things were looking and feeling. If he wrote it differently, it would feel like a lie.

People mention how Pyro has new crew etc, but they always take for granted that FS is consistent. Our roster changes, too, and we work hard to keep moving. But we failed prep and hostile; Francis was incredibly disappointed in how everything went and was going down. He was tired and our players weren't playing at full strength.

But the way you're describing it, Palem, it sounds like Francis didn't have anything going for him :p But he still had me! And I never once doubted him, and when he came to me to talk about looking into wding, I told him the war could be won (turned) in 5 days if we could get our players to do what was needed. But it was up to him, if he wanted to stay and do it. **** talking had started by this point and ofc I didn't want him to end a winnable war on such a bad note, esp with a friendly kd. He went to take a nap, and when he woke up, taunt banner was up. I don't think spite, as you are insinuating, was enough to win the war. We both knew it wasn't lost yet, it was a matter of getting our kd to perform. Which, thankfully, they pulled through (: If things had been completely hopeless, there was no way we could have turned -anything-

Palem stop pretending that the other KD **** talking can't provide the motivation to win a war. When Ronaldo gets booed by the opposition fans you can see it spur him on and it makes him a stronger player. When a the best warring KD in the game gets mocked you better believe they will use that as motivation to prove everyone wrong. It's not atrocious, it's inspirational. Spite is useless, but rage can be utilized into a very powerful tool. You seem like you don't want emotions to enter the WD decision when the majority of early WD's are because of low morale and defeatism. FS have taught me never to give up unless the numbers say it's impossible, and to use your enemies mistakes to your advantage!

People who can't find a way to feel empowered in real life tend to try and exert power within a smaller community. It's a shame you had to choose utopia.

You're assuming quite a lot. I would say that I care about success much less in utopia than in other areas of life, especially over the last 3 years. If you met me in person, I would exert power over you through wit and charm, and I don't lose to anyone. The last time I lost to someone, it was in high school and I spread a rumor about that person and destroyed him.

Now, to counterpoint: when are you going to beat me in utopia? If you can't beat me in a simple text game, how well do you think that you'll fare in more complicated competitions?
