I see many comments against FS on the way they played the war.. I think that's really wrong, FS played to their strengths and got the desired/deserved war win, I believe Pyro could have still won the war by bouncing down FS UB's but they chose to WD and rebuild rather then go another week, an understandable choice for most no doubt, but the victory shouldn't be taken away from FS by any means... They did what they do best and they played it like they usually do when warring tough opponents, Pyro should have known exactly how FS would try and win and therefore expect a long war.

I see no reason to be upset at the war itself, seeing they been friendlies for quite some ages now, the fact that Pyro returns to halt FS age by laying into them now seems rather petty as FS declined a round 2. - But that said Pyro is entitled to play the aftermath as they wish as they gained size to take some science/honour back if that is their goal.

they tried to bounce our ub defenses, but when you have 60k offense on 5k acres, trying to bounce def on +150k def provs, it doesnt work.. they had absolutely no choice left in the war other than a wd, and it was a clear win for us.. in a maximum of 48h, there wouldnt be a nw gap to talk about..

i dont care a single bit about how much land they gain off this, nor how many times they wave us.. what makes me sick is their attitude against a kd, which theyve had the closest relations due to past events of last few ages, for some mysterious(!) reason.. seriously, who does fetch his steward to tell me he has been afk for weeks, while i know for a fact that he has been talking to other ppl meanwhile? why do you even need to lie about how you had told us that you would be coming at us after 96h, why do you need a lie to justify something normal as waving ppl?

we just refuse to participate in this stupidity, and let them feed their ego as much as they like.. clearly, they are the winner here!

probably because fs and pyro were friendlies and one party didnt expect the other to be bitter about losing? so now you're implying that a war should be expected to last many rounds over a longer period of time?

losers should just be a sport, shake hands, and accept defeat. theres always next age where you can pick a better setup to counter the allegedly long war setup fs seems to be going for all the time.

The war tier has largely devolved into a game of who tricks who into declaring war on them. This is a huge reason why warring kingdoms CANNOT tag - FREE learnt that this age. You find so many more wars where good kingdoms are smurfing ghettoes, pretending you're not who you are so they will declare on you (largely from "winning" positions). Then when it comes to war agreements (see: ED vs FS), both parties whine about he-said she-said if they don't feel 95% certain about winning on declare.

To take this war in pure isolation, I think it was a great, even war that showcased two different strategies. FS did the right things and played extremely well to win the war, and got a fairly sweet deal out of it (free land drop, great for warring kingdoms amirite).

But I don't think the game should be played in isolation. If that were right, we should just set wars up MOBA style. Get 25 players together, set a start date, prep time, everybody starts on 400 acres with X networth/credits and everybody fights it out! We could even use Strat0's Virtual Kingdom format for each of these wars, so there's no difference in set-up either. Best of all, no outside interference, unless you wanna add a dose of realism to the game - for XX number of credits, you're allowed to gangbang one of the kingdoms in the war. Profit!

It's still trickery - just more advanced trickery.

It's all about seeming less threatening than the other party at the point of agreement. Sometimes, even up to declare time so that you don't chase the prey away.

It's quite funny and I do appreciate the honesty behind it. But between this and kingdom mates who somehow expect that you can find wars with that kingdom that's 2 provinces down and 85% your size, the game got really tiring really quickly,

Your logic fails here. Yes we where hitting with a clear goal: gain honour, but we did not pound provinces or kingdoms in the ground. We are being hit / razed /learned because we won a war. Like the beautiful lady from the coffee commercial: incomparable.

Not exactly sure if that's true, but if it is it happened because they were competing over the honor/ww crowns and SS tried to dodge FS under some lame excuse of an agreed war and "not wanting to crown"? What has that got to do with Pyro razing FS, I'm fairly certain Pyro razing FS doesn't improve Pyro's chance of crowning, or maybe it does, this just proves how scared of FS they are, so lets just wait this out, FS at 400 acres and them at 7000, maybe then they feel secure enough and FS isn't a threat anymore :D
What is really rich is they said this is their "slack age", "retirement age", I'm sure even more comedic phrases were used, can't care to remember them all. As for teaching new players, you sure are teaching them well.

MNIM, it is in direct contrast to s7ark's post claiming legitimacy of one crown due to the other. Oh this one couldn't possibly be sullied because X, well wrong...

I supported FS last age, I support Pyro this age. Some day warring kingdoms we see the light of size is power. And with that the time between wars is just as much a part of the game as the time in wars.

As I am being a broken record I'll bring back a favorite of mine, this isn't Carebears Online and you don't win by # of hugs.

Hmmm I don't think FS is complaining about getting waved, you are missing the point it seems. Pyro is RAZING, I repeat the form of attack they are using is RAZE, you don't raze if it's not out of spite or punishment for something else. What did FS do that warrants punishing acts against them? They refused to WD when the almighty unbeatable Pyro told them to? I can't believe this is even a point of discussion tbh, but whatever, this game is full of people and people are weird so I guess stuff like that will happen.
