I think everyone involved has crowned a few times at least and would rather win the conflict (at least the people I talked to over the ages)

"having fun warring when you have whoring and number 1 as a goal is totally pointless..." - Korp

The devs have made a decision to kill competitive utopia and have thereby killed my interest with it.
Any update on the war? Did a snatch news but could only grab from March 1st.
Looks like the acreage is very skewed, but the NW lead keeps changing hands.
April 12 of YR10 Happy Birthday Migz (7:8) has withdrawn from war. Our people rejoice at our victory!
BB knew this was a sure loss so they did a max gain wave and WD'ed.

Everyone (who knows the game) knew a kd with 10 faeries would win a war vs a kd who tried to win the landcrown by not running faeries, I advised em to go 0 TM's this age. They went 5. This conflict was decided before the age even started. It's the Freakstyle strategy. Lose half your land but ya never have to withdraw. Great in the war win tier, but whats the point for a kd like you or BB? Don't ya wanna gain land? You were laughably small pre-WD. Can BB just run 15 faes next age, have no chance at ever winning, and break your war win streak? Would you then feel defeated given everyone knows more faes = war wins?
That's been y'alls mistake like for 8 years now, people like you and proteus keep talking up your war win record as I've spent 8 years hit and running ya for crowns. This age y'all were both so stubborn to sit for 2 weeks before fighting the inevitable. congrats?

I played for landcrowns, not war wins. You warred BB, and looks like your land is in on the kd page and you ended up 30k behind. Appears as stupid as a setup in practice as I said upon seeing it, unless your goals are the WW crown. You're 16 points behind per the kd page on the WW rankings.
But as I said, I've been having that argument for damn near 8 years now. Abs cares about saying in the forums they got the war win, despite the multiple ages I'd hit and run em for a crown. Everyone has their own goals. Can't blame nesta for withdrawing up 70k acres ahead which then becomes 30k after your WW bonus. I just can't relate to picking a setup like 9 faes that never had a chance of winning pre-age, seems retarded to me. But congrats on 4/4? FS has been doing that for 30 ages. Beat FS and it'd actually be more impressive than finishing in 6th place.

Ghetto plays man.
You had the inside track to crowning, yet were willing to just stare at us until eoa unless we gave you a free first wave in war, declining our repeated insta-war offers. Okay so we gave you the free first wave in war, just like you needed to have a chance to compete. This gave you an overwhelming advantage, from which you do a max-gain-min-time strat and withdraw. Which you're calling a win somehow?
Great, but the last time we warred you pulled the opposite propaganda, telling us to our faces you would withdraw if it was clear you were losing, then turning around and posting on the forums the exact opposite lie by admitting you gave up any chance of winning days before eoa just to hold onto acres until eoa saved you with 36 hours to spare.
Our strat was simple: get you to 50% nw by eoa. Job well done. But next round it won't be possible since there will only be 4 days til eoa and autowin can't kick in until 7. So I guess you'll be spared a second loss by pulling the same strat as last time, and call it a win again?
