I would consider us a mediocre ghetto warring kingdom and we do use sitting, quite a bit actually. We do that because we all have jobs, many with erratic schedules.

instead of recruiting only players that can play when we need them to, we opted to recruit people that enjoy playing regardless of their schedules. Their schedules don't make them any less committed to the kingdom or the game. The only thing that this change does is the possibility of shorter sit times to suit schedules such as for example military, hospitality business, medical staff, shift workers.

If you limit the competitive play only to people that have 24/7 access to the internet you limit your player base.

And while I strongly agree that in the past a lot of times the casual player's needs were overlooked, in this case I don't think it is.
The competitive tier already has high activity with members being able to log in at any given time and if not they have tools to get around that. Sure this may make it less of a hassle for them but let's face it they don't NEED this sitting change. To them it's an added convenience nothing more.
