Thread: Number one KD declares on tiny KD

  1. #166
    oh just suck it up.

It's a new code. There are plenty of so called bugs. Everyone at one time or another is going to inevitably end up 'abusing' one or two.

I'm sure OMAC are working hard to fix it, but in the meantime you can't seriously expect the top kingdoms to compromise their own play to conform with old and apparently outdated game mechanics just to placate the angry mob.

The metagame aspect on top is already extremely complicated on top, even more so since there are so few kingdoms left in the game. The lines are so blurred grey isn't even a colour anymore.

I don't play in Sonata but if Sonata were serious about abusing bugs, there's enough smart people in there to make sure its done a lot more hardcore than sacrificing a province just to get some war hits off on turtles.

And whatever you want to say about driving players away from the game, lets face it this is not what's doing it. Oh BOO HOO u got into a losing war, suck it up. That's the way it's been since the start of utopia. There will always be a better kingdom u end up in the ****ter with. If you can't deal with that go play neopets.

    Wow.

It used to be, when people knowingly exploited bugs in Utopia, there were actual consequences. From the game itself and from the community. I guess that has all changed.

Because if there's anything we can learn from absolutely everything in existence, its that things always stay the same.

    Might i add:

There have always been incidental abuses of bugs.

I don't know why but for some reason I was reminded of Rage's war with Warsong... I believe the only ever war they lost ever.

If memory serves me, Rage declared and promptly found out there was a 'bug' with dwarves and thievery effectiveness that made them extremely difficult to op even though they had -50% effectiveness of thieves.

Rage ended up losing that war because their strat was geared towards thievery ops.

Now while there was some heated debate on 'why' the war was won... I don't believe there was ever any accusations of 'bug abuse'.

No one expected warsong to release thieves to compensate for this 'bug'. Why? (aside from their denial of it's existence) I'm pretty sure it was because people had common sense. Something they seem to have lost recently.

Rage took a beat from what was obviously a 'bug' and they handled themselves extremely well about it, something sadly lacking in the losing kingdom in this case. But of course that is the difference between a top kingdom, and one that is not.

All of these same top players are the people always telling nubs to retal top kingdoms, and now you crucify them for it as being nubs getting themselves into this mess, when we all know they should have been protected by the game mechanics. Hypocrites, the lot of you.
I never tell anyone to retal. I advise them not to. Just look at the "dumb fat explorer" thread, just to be clear :)

    k, continue!

Smile lol I think it is my old Gen kd that caused the 50% rule

Our top 8 were so fat we couldn't war anyone. We were all in top 3 of our race.
The next 8 wanted war. They used to plot & scheme like crazy for war. We warred at least 3 kds that age who were under 50%. Next age the rule was in.
Good times. But seriously, if a kd is so lame they're gonna war someone over twice their size, their bad.

Not fun, on the other hand when you get a traitor in your kd at age start who knows the other kd & does 2 quad taps on an inactive in the other guys kd & suddenly your heads spinning cuz you're at war - had that happen to a brilliant kd on UD Gen Age everyone on irc - got farmed first week to a huge troll & pffft! - age was over b4 it begun. Quitters!
    Shaken not stirred.

I just don't see the argument here. If you had retaled 1 for 1 hit, you would have broken even - or even been up in acres due to KNRG and GBP working out of war. we would have respected you and left you alone, or your monarch could have negotiated a CF with terms by pointing out that you can retal one for one cos Realest is a softie.

you chose to attempt a power play by mini waving. no one knew the button would become available. but you chose to push us, and we pushed back naturally (pun unintended).

    Durr, durr.
More cheaters on steroids attempting to defend their desire to bully the hell out of a kingdom a third their size.
Catwalk's crusade for legalized cheating was a stunning success, with ghettos and low-tiered teams everywhere losing their wells of knowledge to better kingdoms in the process.

Step one: replace everything that works.
Step two: blame the predictable epic fail on outside forces.
Step three: keep the community informed that no progress has been made since the last update.
Step four: thank you for your patience.

Clarey, love, you look kind of dumb accusing a ghetto of powerplaying. It was a bold move, and had you not had access to the button, it would have worked perfectly and you would have moved on. And you know it.

Three cheers for the little man fighting back imo.

    Dictionary: power play
    1. Sports.
    1. An offensive maneuver in a team game, especially in football, in which a massive concentration of players is applied in a certain area.
    2. A situation in ice hockey in which one team has a temporary numerical advantage because the other team has one or more players in the penalty box.
    2. A strategic maneuver, as in politics, diplomacy, or business, based on the use or threatened use of power as a means of coercion.

since land was an end result and they made an -unnecessary- wave where 6 or 7 hits would have more than sufficed, i would consider that to be a play for power on their part.

what was forgotten was that with great power, comes great responsibility. :[ unless we hear from OMAC, we cannot verify if this was intended or not. and it's not a secret that this happened earlier on between UG/CGG as well.

seems like boy crying wolf, when omac won't even respond.
