Fair enough.
I just fancied a flame, because I was bored by the thread as it's similar to nearly every thread about ethics/game-play mechanics in every online forum around.

It's clearly a bug based on the developers previous statements on game mechanics for this age,rule changes, and how they intended to carry previous game mechanics over, but Sonata were clearly not abusing the spirit of the game by utilising it, as the mechanic was never explicitly stated in the rules or was there any indication as to the nature of declaration of war.
Other than that it's all opinion really.

They are on record as saying that this age will be played under age 42 rules, with mechanics carried over from old code and the cm gave a list of rule changes.
Hence intentions were clearly spelt out.
This is outside of those stated intentions.

You are correct though, that the developers may have changed it as a feature with no debate, outside of their stated intentions and with no communication.

EDIT: I don't give a monkeys if they did as it's always been a retarded mechanic imo. However, with what they have previously stated, it's a bug unless they announce it.

From what I've heard from people who have seen snippets of the old code, there's a lot of stuff Mehul left in the code that just didn't do anything anymore or that just seemed unnecessary. It's possible that S&B thought the war declare range was unnecessary. After all they haven't played the game before, so it's not hard to believe they wouldn't understand why anyone would want to war a kd less than 50% their size. If that's the case they would've just ignored that part of the old code and written it off as something useless.

25 accounts max 5 trade/invite unless only 5 people from 7th or 5 people CC stayed i fail to see how they are playing in the same kingdom legally otherwise. otherwise STFU this is not #strategy that people think your god

I'm not involved with Synergy, and I didn't perform the merger as I quit leadership before then. However, I know that 10 players from CC joined the merger and that 7th had unused codes due to not playing actively last round. So I don't see why there would be anything illegal about that merger.

I'm also not involved with #strategy anymore, and I wasn't exactly considered God there at any point. Do you have a point with any of this or are you just running your mouth? Are you involved with Sonata, or upset for other reasons?

how hard could it be to find 10, 15, 20, 50 other ghettos who also are fed up by this style of playing and bug abusing and together punish the kds that let their greed get in the way of their sense of what is just.

Even if you cant break them bouncing hurts enough, and so does spells. Its clear that no one in the top has enough balls to take care of these matters, so you all should think about what path you want this game to take in the future.
