Growing up so deep in the Bible Belt that I choked on the buckle, it ain't so easy to resist escalating this debate.

That's more a criticism on economic systems than Science. Without science those medications wouldn't be around in the first place. It's not really science's fault that the powers that be charge what they will for treatments.

What about the scientists that work for the government? The ones that release diseases into the population to see how they'll react?

That would definitely be a case of overstepping some boundaries.

What about them indeed? What do they have to do with science vs religion or evolution vs creationism? What do you mean - what about them?

    ?

If you mean scientists releasing diseases into populations of microbes or mice etc to see how they effect life then i can see how that is cruel, but the results and process are still trustworthy.

Humans tainted Science just like they tainted Religion. ;)

If you take the humans out of the equation, neither Science nor Religion is better than the other.

If you take the humans out of the equation both are pointless and useless... Without humans they are nothing.

Humans are most commonly the 'error' in most things and plans. I agree.

Religion is a pile of balls, responsible for more suffering than any other machination of man. It is the core and root of conflicts throughout the ages for no other reason than a difference of opinion. Mans implementation of religious doctrine has brought about more atrocities than anything else.

In modern times (i.e when people are allowed to have an opinion other than what the church states) religion is outdated and the redoubt of feeble minds.

Not disagreeing whatsoever Bishop. I've read the Malleus Maleficarum and studied the Inquisition. Not a fun subject.

Ah, yes... The Inquisition and the Crusades.

Millions of people killing each other, most often in the name of the same god, because they couldn't agree on how to go about loving one another.

Religion in it self isnt a pile of balls, its not religion that is resposible for the suffering its the people wielding the power of religion. Blame the people rather than the religion itself if so.

The humans that are religious and their religion itself go hand in hand, in my opinion.
