I don't hate flogger. Quite the opposite, he doesn't invoke any feelings other than mild amusement at his over-inflated ego. Actual conflict update:

been out of fortified on both sides for almost 20 hours now. We had a lot of specialist credits saved up from our war with rage that we didn't use while prepping to gain a dragon advantage (trained the spec credits and used them to slay). Both sides have been doing riots/greeds/explosions/drought attempts both through the 3 days of double fort and now after the past 20 hours.

We've managed over the past 4 days to turn what was a decided mercy GC advantage into a decided pulse GC advantage, as we've gone from behind behind in networth to being ahead in networth while slaying a dragon simutaneously. Mercy has focused on trying to take care of our food, but we came in prepared with enough farms. Their vermin attempts are welcome since they're mostly depleting the food supplies we have available to rob, which is fine by us since we are positive food production or .02% desertion if at zero.

If I'm them I initiate the action a while back while they had the GC/resources advantage, but I imagine they wanted to wait until the 6 day left in the age mark so that if victorious they'd spend the remainder of the age in end of war. Despite our current resources advantage they still possess a military and topfeeding advantage so this could go from pulse winning barely, to close to break even to mercy farming, the range of possibilities is quite large.
