Bishop has indicated in the past that a cow going into VM to avoid being taken down would be abuse of VM in my conversations with him.

VM is designed so that people who are taking vacations can do so without having to worry about their provinces. It was not designed to be a tool to avoid gameplay. That's why you can't have 25 provs go VM for the last day of the age anymore; that is a way of avoiding gameplay that they found undesirable.

Ovenmitt pew2 wont rise again this age why not just play the game clean...I mean you are just delaying the inevitable that cow is dead in the water. There has already been a precedent of being booted out of mv. One example i can remember was in age 50 when dreams was getting GB their cow activated vs (first age back and didnt know about the new policy) and was booted out of it.

Going to vm when you get outplayed just makes you look weak.

It takes a guy like you to be arrogant enough to think you will and can get away with it.

1) You moved into VM mode after bounce wave, just prior to your KD coming out into normal stance
2) You are here and typing and on irc
3) You probably logged thru your account to reach the forum as well

There is precedent. I learned about it age 50 when ABS gbed Dreams and we was close to gave up age. I put my prov in VM mode and after it learn its "abuse".

IMO you should have to submit a VM request 7 days prior entering the date and must spend minimum of 24 hours in it before you can gain control again. King should be able to cancel it anytime but the province cannot take control of it like how current sitting works. For those people that go on spur of the moment trips they should be able to provide a sitter. Perhaps a new feature could be every 3 weeks when kingdoms receive 1 free invite, all players receive 1 free sitting credit (this way it eliminates the need to enter VM).

Naw, it's already served its purpose. I do suggest clarifying the rules (because there are none posted anywhere), though, rather then assuming (anyone) knows implications. Either in game or in the guide or both

I agree strongly with this. If it is a rule, post it.

here are the current guidelines under vacation mode:

Vacation mode temporarily freezes your province so you can take a short break from gameplay. Other provinces cannot attack you, but your own province will stop generating gold, food, runes, science etc.

Rules to prevent abuse:
1. Vacation will begin 1 day after you activate it.
2. It will be cancelled if you commit any act of aggression in this 1 day period.
3. You cannot end your vacation until 3 days have passed.
4. A maximum of five provinces in a kingdom can be on vacation at the same time.
5. The kingdom monarch can cancel any vacation that lasts for more than 5 days.
If you use sitting instead of vacation mode your province will grow while you're away. Ask a kingdom mate to help you out!
