Some players don't get this logic and then you have to go Bricktop on them. Just relax and convert. I've had some double kingdom retal because of this but I'm pretty happy in a batman fight. As long as my monarch isn't crying about the meter. What's a meter? Just kidding, but war isn't a bad thing for guys that enjoy them.

    PLAYING HOUSE ~
Which gets me to the misunderstood PLAY HOUSE. I'm kinda into mutual respect and a little known entity in this game is a casual gaming style I call 'playing house'. If I may I'd like to outline some basic rules to 'playing house' not just to clarify to the violent community, but to help these players self realize what the really ache for:

1- playing house means you enjoy the social aspects of the game to a fault
2- that fault is not realizing your niche
3- the playing house kingdom should essentially be happy with exploring their pool, working up science, cleaning up inactives for other kingdoms or taking acres from war kingdoms that want to cut fat diplomatically.
4- this looks like an explorer but it's not. It's simply playing the game in a peaceful, good neighbor style. There are no cows other than what might equal necessity. This is about kingdom culture.
5- it should be promoted as a style of play so that the community at large can attempt to abide.

I realize acre acquisition is something CR is doing and I commend them for this end of their game. But CR is here for crowns. So the answer here is to respect the acres a top kingdom may negotiate from a war kingdom. Fair enough. The play house can diplo peaceful coexistence provided they abide a non-aggression pact. Any deviation results in you being considered fair target. Simple if not perfect.
why are you so cool!?!? :D

When the larger kingdom has 2-3x your NW, and the province that hits you is 2x your NW, there's no such thing as "safe" for the smaller province.

Anyway we're not asking you not to shoot at us; But is it really fun playing an FPS when your opponent is limited to a bare knuckles when you're equipped with an AK? The crown you chase, the "land crown", should be renamed the coward's crown, because 99% of the time you're hitting provinces that can't even retaliate because at some point it becomes impossible regardless of how many offense points they have. If that's what floats your boat, I'd be more than happy to ask the developers to create a server of inactive provinces for you. You can get a land crown there and celebrate your awesome achievements. You can even tell your grandchildren illustrious stories about your online exploits.

More seriously, whether you acknowledge it or not, the land crown is what's killing the game. It's part of the reason for the decline in Utopia's popularity.

If you guys really had the sack, you wouldn't be hiding your names at the beginning of the age. You would be going toe-to-toe with the ghettos and equally sized kingdoms. Too bad most of you guys are cowards and afraid to lose acres. You guys would be garbage without your CF's, deals and multi-hour negotiations. But when those deals fall through, and your feelings get hurt, you end up here in the forum like a bunch of school girls crying to each other hoping for an audience. I'm doing you a favor by making you aware of how you're killing what would otherwise be a perfectly good online game.

Here's another thing for you guys to think about, when it comes down to it, you guys really suck at growing. I've been playing this game for a little over week and I've been waiting for your no-good, coward kingdoms to grow fast enough so that I can get more acres in. Seriously after all these years of playing this game, how can you still be so bad?

You're lucky I'm only playing Faery for a ghetto warring kingdom. If I'd been an attacker, you would be saying goodbye to your cow right about now.

Goodness. I'll leave the diplo to diplomats, thank you :-) Obviously retal is fair for the disrespectful and I did outline a few builds to promote peace through power.

Consider a sexy girl who owns an exquisite pizza shop in Brooklyn. There might be customers who would frown upon armed robbers screwing up a good thing in their nw neighborhood. That, and our sexy girl packs a 44 and a degree in Colombian necktie ettiquette. It's not a threat, just a sexy girl making pizza.

even a big faery should look at having enough retal ability to ambush hits. i made a legacy player cry doing that. faery with strong offense oop is a pretty useful gambit actually, if they're up against spec offenses... the fae spellbook is great for going a/t/m early, if the fae picked mystic or rogue personality. sort out t/m specialization later when the faery has enough acres and enough science to play t/m, and elite offenses become more of a threat.

Since I travel many lower tier kingdoms I get to see peculiar things like:
I ended up in a gloomy kingdom with zero wins in war. Lots of bickering and lost on how the game goes. Simply complacent and defeated. They felt it was easy just to stay in wars to dodge the random glut they were subject to.

Turned out I mentioned my science gains in my last war aligned with another kingdom and then they were confused.
I explained to them " you get stuff! " " you get stuff if you win! "
We won our next war and it was like a room full of 3 year olds on Christmas day. ;-) ~

I guess the reason I mention this is because as a community we should want players to stay, and new ones to grow. Be it revenge between two warring kingdoms, a girth race between top explores or players who simply enjoy the interaction. I'm quite happy in the gruel of the lower tier; I know of a top player who puts achievement ahead of his full realization. It's a shame we can't see him unbridled in action. Just one age.
For me, I gladly cross swords with anyone in reach, but for others a little space and cool headedness would do the game well. I'm not suffering for mercy or honor. I also promote the idea of bad guys. I might be against you, but then that's why I play.

Cant believe I am saying this, but CJ, take a look at godly's post. Besides the insults part he is pretty spot on. My post wasnt me accusing pyro. It was me defending them. Since I asumed it was about pyro since we didnt do anything that was posted. So I made an asumption and defended the actions I thought to be yours. Sue me....:D

And since normaly razes dont start from nothing I asked if there was a connection or not. No accusation to anybody. A question.

    Just read next time k:)

If Bishop would allow me to multi I'd gladly help out ghetto-KDs getting together some sort of KD-structure. But I don't want to leave my own lads to do that :)

Wow. I told you that I would spend 10 minutes out of my life to help you out (I would have spent more). I told you that Step 1 is to lose the "bully/victim" mentality otherwise you won't grow to become the bully eventually (which is actually the goal of utopia) and all you did was argue with me about not having that mentality or not reading your posts. I read your posts. You have a bully/victim mentality. You think that the top kingdoms are bullies and you should be left alone. If you continue this nonsense, you will forever be a noob.

You do realize that I've been playing at the top of utopia for 15 years, right? I would think that any advice I offer you should be gulped up and not argued with if you're serious about becoming better. So when you waste my time with arguments and playing around with the trolls instead of note taking, of course I'm going to say bye. If I'm trying to make utopia smaller, why do I even offer? Before that, why do I try to make a game that I've devoted half my life to smaller?

The difference between me and other top players is when I get messages saying "WHY COME U KEEP HIT ME?" I actually respond and help them not become targets, at the expense of losing a land farm for myself and my kingdom. The people I message are appreciative, and I continue to monitor them. If I feel like they didn't learn or were just trying to use my niceness to avoid getting hit, I hit them again as a reminder. This is for their own good. As a noob, you should look at me as your life coach. I am not your friend. I am the commander of the noob army. However, you are not ready for greatness, sir.

Ha, ha. That's the sweetest thing. Just the attempt to help the situation is a noble thing. The secret here is to not quit trying to reach some level of understanding. Even mutual dislike in open air is best investigated.

The short answer to your problems is Palem lol. The scape goat! ~ it's beyond utility to harass a kingdom I didn't see chart(cute bunny). Don't fret, mine isn't either. All I know is in HRS, sometimes, we took collateral for our choice in monarch. This didn't divide us, it made us stronger. And really this wasn't a primary concern to what we were trying to do. Anytime you have reputations or a public persona in kingdom the attention is a little magnified.

Perhaps you can sympathize with CR in that they have a star studded cast and it's held against their performance. If they do well they were supposed to, if they do less they are overrated. We can still be mean or cruel to those we understand, but we should pardon that as game.
