BB vs ASFKD?

Why would it be lame? By the bay, I've always advocated AW on soft targets to get the core involved. Detractors say it makes chaining objectives harder. I'm not arguing that, just that it depends what you plan to do in certain instances.

When you face the likes of ASF maybe you already have a feel for how to conduct yourself in war. Maybe you guys could agree to have a kitchen sink war, but even that would require some limits.

Because you're talking about after chain and I'm talking before. If you have taps available then fine, if not....the idea is you're preparing them to be knocked down. Perhaps the attacker is turtling and paripheral ops have merit.

If you're sending 10 thieves or so of course it's a waste of time. The amount of mana that's reduced is dependent on the # of thieves you sent. I only tested it it once ages ago with another province - and the conclusion from that was you need a whole lotta thieves. AW just seems like a better use of stealth.

Who said anything about 10 thieves? Of course 10 thieves wouldn't do anything to someones mana... if you read up you'll see flogger speaking about 2* targets acres in # of thieves.
And AWing a chained province is a waste of time.

umm AW is awesome if you can AW its great. Even if you're just opening up landlust acres for unbreakables. Its very hard to keep land if you can be landlusted very easily which makes it hard to win wars. AW>Prop>NS. Rioting and stealing are also awesome. Thieves have a place but are much better bottomfeeding then topfeeding. Magic works somewhat okay topfeeding do to fireballs.

Well, I wasn't replying to flogger's post but to the general discussion about SW. Plenty of people out there who don't understand the mechanics. AND...not that this is something that I've done, but if you have a chained province with high enough WPA to FB a strategically important province, and you happen to have a chained T/M, then it might be worth it. Might.

A lot of things in Utopia is ESID, and blanket statements like that are stupid.
