    @spartans

When almost everyone (even haters of divinity or Emeriti ) think you deal broke.. it could only mean that

    You deal broke.

It's not remotely close to being grey it's black and white.

I can almost assure you that if Emeriti didn't help divinity, another Kingdom would have helped them. In fact, it should be a combined effort.

You speak as if divinity and friend wants to raze kill you and make you quit the game. Lol. Your actions on divinity, if went unpunished, would have caused the same above mentioned issue and possibly worst.

A reasonable reading of the diplo does NOT yield this conclusion. Everything else is smoke, you deal broke and this is what happens to people who deal break.

If you want to go after Emeriti fairly next round that's great and might spice up the round a bit. I doubt they will mind much either.

As with murder or death-threats, or any kind of act, mere intent is sometimes just as severe as actually doing, the action is question. Look no further than to the first dealbreak thingy where Divinity broke CF cause they thought Sprtans tried to instgate a fake war with them. Did they actually do a fake war? No. They were accused of INTENT. Same can then be claimed of Emeriti. They intended to break their deal... so spartans, just as divinity earier, jumped the gun and broke it before them. If Divinity is in the clear for their breaking cf to punish, so is Spartnas. No double standards here please.

    2. The KD we waved barely retalled, went fort, and didn't make any moves that might make us think they were going to war us.
    3. We approached another KD in the same range, asked them for war, and they did agreed.
    4. The KD we waved wasn't prepared to pay the price for thier bad diplo, and thus called in allies to fight their war for them.
    5. Both the KD that helped them (Emeriti) and them started hitting into a legit war.

Emeriti is just using this war as an excuse to get acres for their upcoming conflicts. Typical ABS-style of Emeriti.

Spartans have an official message for Emeriti for next age:

    1. Always train thieves
    2. Always run WTs
    3. Do not hold more than 500 gc/acre on any prov at any time
    4. Do not run lower than 70 dpa on your banks

Spartans have given Emeriti a chance to attone for their sins, an offer which they turned down. Our demands were quite reasonable for a Kingdom that dealbroke us:

    1. Stop dealbreaking
    2. Make a deal with us to give back all the land
    3. Publicly apologize for dealbreaking us

These demands were turned down by Emeriti, leaving us with no other choice than to carry this conflict into the next age. Mind you, Spartans will not dealbreak Emeriti. In fact, Spartans will never in any way have any diplomatic contact with Emeriti other than the use of arms. Last age when the Awar was raging and we were on they Feyrplay side, Spartans were asked to help razing Emeriti. Spartans flat-out refused to do so as we had agreed an EoA CF and would not break that even for an Awar. Spartans were pressured by quite a few of the white knights voicing their opinions here now to break their CF, which we did not do.
Lol. For starters. Spartans actually waved Emeriti 1x last age during the awar... your memory is pretty poor.

And lol at the conclusion of Emeriti is hitting for acres. The winner of the age is already decided. No 1 gives a fk about 2nd place downwards. I think anyone in the top doesn't give a **** if Emeriti hits you for acres. And this is because their purpose isn't to gain land, but to make things right.

If Emeriti suffers next age because of standing up for fair play in this situation, kudos to them..

You just fail to see how you are in the wrong.

    Long version:

Ah the level of wordplays in here. Its like a law-STUDENT conference. Bickering about definitions and words.
Real lawyers wouldnt be bickering like this. Theyd just hand over their case to bishop to decide if indeed the offer was for a fake-war. Then move on to where the money is at (next war).

Entering fake wars result in dire consequences like all war-wins removed and leadership deleted etc. since its against the rules.
Now if you want to bicker about the definitions of fake war just ask bishop about that aswell and let him decide. Infact if he finds the offer to actually be for a FW he might even suspend spartans leadership for making it. And possibly re-evaluate their former war-wins.

All in all ask the true judge of utopian law and definitions i dare you. =)

    Short version:
Intentions were clear. Its obvious to almost everyone.
    Actions have consequences.
Take it, suck it up and move on.

    Cheers

Spartans chose to dealbreak divinity, with the only excuse I've seen being that they wanted to be dicks. Over this dealbreak of their allies, Emeriti would have been fully justified to dealbreak Spartans in return. But since Spartans dealbroke Emeriti instead and robbed ~millions of gold while claiming to be hostile with Divinity, that is on Spartans as well.

Spartans has been and will continue to be given every opportunity to un-dealbreak. That this continues to be an issue is simply dumb. Just make it up with Divinity and we can all move on.

I still dig Sparta but you should not do diplo with certain kingdoms.

I'm aware the idea of who's scared of who's mechanics has supposed weight. It doesn't. It's simply desire to win and activity. Desire to win is navigated by activity. Quality activity.

Emeriti doesn't need acres. They are actually standing up for what's right. Don't deal break. Don't run to a fake war and hide from deal break. It's simple really. Bart got to cocky and thought he had enough friends in the top to protect him but when it comes down to it no one in the top will take the side of a deal break.
All for one and one for Chrystal!!
