High homes = bad

I find it ironic how you constantly refer to simulations as a 'failed' assumption. 2 + 2 will always make 4 no matter what kind of 'action' you do like counting with your fingers or drawing on a board. This is a code game, it runs off numbers, you can do a donkey dance or play utopia with the mouse on your left hand but it doesn't change the maths/formulas in any way. You are very close minded. Some people here have probably run high-homes builds before you were even playing this game. But are you open minded enough to do simple maths for yourself? You refused to look at evidence, you instead chose to downplay the credibility of the evidences that so many people have shown you and claims that your 'experience' proves otherwise to save your ego. Your signature and your high-homes thread are signs of your desperation for approval and to get people to stand by you.

Sims and emulators are no more than mental masturbation. Sure some can be really good depending on how well they are done.
But when It comes down to it. In the game, in the ghetto, theres many things going on, that cant be run in an emulator.

For example I wonder If most of you run static strats. that means, do you have your perfect strat that you build in the emulator for the whole age?
Are you working towards a goal? , do you emulate 3 diff build strats ?
1 for growing, one for staying oop, one for pumpim army , one for pumpim science, one for war, one for war against tms, one for war against undeads ?

Do you switch your builds around ?

You should know that sometimes one has leets, others off specs, and so on, ones province changes a lot .
Right now i have tested 7 diff builds .

2+2 is =4
but do your emulators have exactly the same formulas that utopia uses to run the game ?
Do you have an exact copy of utopia running ?

I remember 6 or 7 years ag there were emulators that looked exactly like utopia, I used them and they was never the same as the real game.
And everytime one runs numbers , its not the same as doing the same strat in game. And more often than not , so many things happen that the numbers one predicted never are the same as in the game, except perhaps for a what 5% of the time in the game ?

How long does it take for most of you too achieve the numbers you want and keep them?

How long do you retain your numbers for ? a day? two? before entering war? and then you need to rebuild and retrain and so on?
_How much time do you spend rebuilding your province.


When i scanned tons of provinces in the top 30 kds, almost none had nice numbers, there were just a few that had dream provinces, most were not that good, untrained soldiers here and there, tons of off specs, and so on . Low opas .

What this means is that the dream province is something that is only achieved for a little ammount of time, and the rest of the time one struggles.

Is this true or false.

And theres nothing wrong with going out drinking and talking with girls.
Just yesterday we was downing some beers on the street there is a culture festival and they have concerts all over downtown, tons of people .

AFter all the games I have played , i play after feeling, I dont need to be sitting calculating hour after hour, i play by feeling , more than often it works. When one is such a pro in games, one stops planning and being obsessed with the decimals. Im a war machine that destroys the enemy , Thats my fun .
I dont judge you for liking doing calculations, i love numbers myself too, but right now its not worth it anymore, i play for fun and for the feeling and all that.
Maybe next age when winter comes, i wont be going out so much and start doing calculations and all that . But right now man? summer time ? fu im gonna be using my calculator, ima be out on the street as much as possible , aaaahahaha, and btw after all this tanning , i look more beautiful than ever !

Firstly, you can make a simulator thats almost an exact copy of the game. Training time could be calculated, your build strat and buildings output relative to BE can be easily calculated with UtopiaAngel, attack times and many more other formulas can be found in the wiki. Everything that you need to know to build a good static simulator to compare numbers.

Well most of the top KDs are dicing now, and when you dice, you don't train 75%. You keep your NAPs in place and have low draft to boost econ. Sometimes SKs save up tonnes of soldiers to aid the bank at this stage of the game for a bank pumping. So what you are observing is a high level coordinated technique, not some noob provinces having difficulty trying to train up.

You are right about the part where simulators can't provide all the scenarios. In fact not long ago i did post something regarding that matter. But a strategy in this case is to provide the best province in a static situation. We all know that in a game there are too many factors that would affect a province and its almost impossible to account for all of them. These factors include and are not limited to activity, monarch's orders, getting chained, getting hit OOW, double hostile etc... which has absolutely nothing to do with a player's strategy, whether you have homes or not does not affect these circumstances directly most of the time. Which is why there is no need to account for all the possible scenarios. When you look further than static numbers there will always be other external factors that has nothing to do with your strategy like activity and random hits.

To sum it up, you can't account for all scenario, but that doesn't matter at all, because static number still has some values and will still give you a head start. Its like racing a GT-R with a Proton. I don't need to elaborate on the circuit/weather/skills and you'd have the idea who's gonna win.

Lastly when comparing under the same circumstances, I don't see how a stronger static number would lose if it was clearly better.

Homes gives extra population and no jobs require = some bonus peasants and lesser jobs to fill = increase BE

For 20% homes, I don't even see an increase of 8% BE possible. I rather having that much of acres being utilize as Forts/TGs as they give my province quality networth. I don't need the extra peasants and troops with lesser ME at 220k netw because non-homes at 200k netw could have break me no sweat for maxgain/damage.

I always believe in quality networth like having high TGs and TDs so with lesser thieves/lesser army/lesser networth, I still rock!

ill try it and compare
so far only high homes has given me any chance to keep growing and training army, im at 600 acres and im aiming to 2000
im attacking all the time gaining acres and high homes allowed me in previous ages to have good income to train leets
ive never been able to do so without a high homes strat

Sure just be warned , everyone is kinda new, some experienced, after the evil alliance tried to kill me with 50+ razes and attacked the people in the kd i was in, i had to defect, and ended up in a kd that only had 3 provinces. Now theres like 20, everyone just came oop a few days ago and were coodrinating and all that

he is a dwarf in a kingdom of like 4 ppl. i tried giving him advise and an invite but he didnt respond :-P
