palem i think we have the support of the majority of the utopia community with killing flutterybys province, i will not name names but i have been told by a few kingdoms its be long over due :)
and i could name 1-2 of those kds, and laugh at how many people actually respect them....
anyway So all the fuss about game mechanics is because MA stole 50-60 million gc huh. Kinda funny that top kds dont dick around back and forth w/robbing & hitting into fort enough to know how game mechanics work. ;P its like poking the bear

Fort work how both kds expected. We had 72h notice, 24h before kick both kds gone in fort to get protection from land hits and train 25% cheap. Was clear kd from 9 halfings will rob too. Dont matter fort or not. If there is not double for stance my robs will give not 800k per op but X times more.

Thus if normally i have 20 mod tpa and i got to steal from my fort into their for i have 20*(1-.5)(1-.5)= 5 mod tpa for the determination of thief op success rate. Thus if i attempt to steal from some who has 10 mod tpa, the success rate is dependent on the ratio of (My 5 mod tpa)/(Their 10 mod tpa).

For some reason i dont think anyone fully graps what i'm saying or adressing. WAR has no mods to tpa/wpa only damage done. So you cant compare the two at all.
The initial complaint was a 18 mod human oping an 11 mod human cross fort. If fort gave a -50% effectiveness mod oping INTO or out of fort would be like a 9 mod tpa trying to op a 11 mod human. And oping cross fort stance is like akin to a dwarf orc trying to op a halfer. He suggested the success rate should tank...it doesnt

Does the bug work with 2 kds in war too using that math csarmi?
You can compare the two because they are identical mods, war also has an effectiveness mod. People in fortified do not suffer a defensive tpa/wpa nerf. The success rate should tank but humans have damage buffs and fort doesn't touch the cap afaik.
Not that I've seen, and i am unaware of dorjes bug report.
Bishop, is the intended effect of fortified is that:
a) people from the outside should have 50% tpa vs you (when opping you)
b) people from the outside should have unchanged tpa vs you (when opping you)
c) you have 50% tpa vs everyone else on the outside so people from the outside have 200% tpa vs you
csarmi if there was 200% tpa vs you Elit wouldnt have 80% but 100% success rate :D
If that's the way it works, it's even buggier than I thought. It means you get +100% tpa and wpa on any ops into fortified, which means nobody in their right mind should ever go fortified to train. I cannot imagine that that's actually the case, since people would have cried about it to no end (pulse would have gotten completely farmed during their 8 days of fortified against rage last age, for instance).
I believe the bug is that fortified simply doesn't give -50% tpa/wpa. Bishop's statement "we coded it the same way we did for hits" doesn't negate this, since fortified DOES give -50% gains. You could even argue (as elit does) that this is the way it's supposed to work: the only problem with that argument is that the guide and age change lists are wrong since they list "-50% gains and effectiveness on magic and thievery ops in" (guide, though its bogus) and "-50% magic and thief operation effectiveness and gains" (age 55 changes - these do support the ludicrous bug that Persain is describing).
Sanc has very rarely used fortified during fights before, so it's no suprise that I'm not up on the level of bugginess. We had a 3-day hostile with warrior princess while they were in fortified last age, where it became clear that fortified gave them no penalty to wpa (nor us any bonus to wpa); I dutifully reported this bug (my mistake, I guess) but it was ignored. Both sides had superthieves and regular core provinces, so it wasn't clear to me whether the bug applied to thievery too. The way the change was written up and understood by me (and the way the guide implies it should be, once it's translated into english) is that fortified should be -50% gains and offensive effectiveness on ops both in and out (with the in part sliding in over 24 hours).

It seems like it'd be more productive to just stop reporting bugs, and use the specialized information for our own benefit instead. Most bugs that I do report get a "no that's wrong" from bishop and they never get fixed. In an earlier era, I remember the "dwarf bug" where dwarves were supposed to get -30% TPA but instead had some ludicrous bug giving them something like +1000% offensive tpa. This bug too was disbelieved (and actively argued against by players who were dwarf and didn't want it to be fixed) for several ages before finally getting fixed one day (just in time to get us a war win versus brute).
Were you in sleepy, lust, brute, or one of the other dwarf kingdoms during those ages?
(Actually I don't think lust lied about the bug. Sleepy and brute did, however. I don't remember who else was dwarf during the second age of the bug.)

If you dont know how game work, learn it dorje. Its so easy to be ABS, sit on your ass age after age, hit small ghetto kds and have 1 kd for compete. This way for sure you cant learn much about game. Maybe you can try age for fun and just stay small and survive alone in ghetto range.

I'm not really sure what your (and other Simians players) beef with Flutterby is, but it seems to be that you mad she didn't blindly follow THE LORD OF THE MONKEYS to her doom again. And again. And again. As seems to be your kingdom's strategy.
Are you jealous that she got out of the kingdom and you're still stuck in its cycle? If you had better players waiting, you should have no issue with the fact that she left and be over it by now. In fact, you should be happy about it.
Your following her around like a wounded puppy makes you look bad. Flutterby is a good player, and based on your 'tude it wouldn't surprise me if she were substantially better than you.

I don't like when ppl accuse me in cheat or game abuse for his excuse. Game work how its work. I dont code it. If there is suspect for bug he can report it not blind accuse other ppl for use it on propose.
