You chose to not stay up to date on game development, that is your fault, not Bishop's. If your players leave, that is their choice, they can still play together effectively. The system does not decimate anything, and as Bishop said, they have looked at it for a month and the effects are pretty small, but the affects on cheating is large.Quote:

The age that AWar happened B&S were assuming control already, they haven't implemented the new code yet, but it was in progress if I am not wrong. It has a lot to do with the thread. Things haven't changed a lot for the cheaters, but have changed for regular users. Couples weren't allowed to play, with the addition of free invites/trading, it became possible and now we get kicked again. Cheaters will still cheat, it wont change with something like that.Quote:

Also - you are not the brightest of all strategists to decide for everyone what's good strategy and what's not. Every kingdom has a style of playing, sometimes more common, sometimes not quite, but that's up to them to decide, not you.
Strategy is always based around game rules, just like FW being removed this age. Always allowed before, no longer legal. Adapt, there are ways to still be effective. I would still welcome an active couple into my kingdom without hesitation.
First, just because you claim something doesn't make it true, DHaran. We NM as a kingdom. We rely on brute ability to win wars. My kingdom's strategy cannot tolerate a useless province when we are targeting individual provinces, so you've essentially put me in a system where 25 provinces can not operate in a uniform manner. You are basically telling me I can only use war strategies that are divisive and built around separating two people who play in the same kingdom because they want to play with each other.
Second, I think it is punitive to punish those who failed to keep up with game anti-cheating developments within the game. What is this: a game about keeping up with the developer's blog? A game about avoiding the repercussions of being tagged by anti-cheat measures when nothing you do is regarded as cheating? Believing I should have been responsible for guessing the behavior of your top secret new anti-cheating system back in freeze time is absurd.
Third, I don't think you're capable of being polite. I would greatly appreciate it if you would stop harassing me with your rude manner. Please ignore me from now on, DHaran. I would prefer to deal with another moderator if one is available.
I just wanted to express i'm not giving any more money into this game either. I didn't want to to start with, but I'm in a kingdom where activity matters, and we really needed a sitter, so I caved in. No longer. Not in a game where everyone is a cheater, guilty, until proven innocent (and from what bishop says, you can't prove yourself innocent, which is why this system was put in place).Quote:

Palem, the main point which you, Bishop, and Dharan completely ignore (100% of the time) is that the couple is a liability now for an active (top 100) kingdom. Having 25 people now, effectively, makes it 24 during war time simply because if they are needed to interact for any reason (cast FB on a bank, NM on target, NS on target, steal food, get intel, send spare offense to the one guy with 0 defense) they no longer can. Please explain to me why account sitting is not an unfair advantage while couples living together is. The only difference is that you have to pay for the first option. (and a sat prov won't get it's daily 5 acres but boohoo)

Of all the "Couples" crying over this:
50% = Have a whitelisted account and simply use two separate computers, and/or x-log for their "significant other" on a regular basis. Once someone is whitelisted, they can x-log each other AT WILL, and it will never be detected.
49% = Are actually two people, and they rarely x-log for each other, maybe a couple times an age if its something super important.
These people are offended that they can no longer war the same way, claiming that couples have to suffer because of cheaters. Well aint that the truth??? Couples DO have to suffer because of cheaters.
Regular honest shoppers have to pay increased prices due to shoplifters. Fact.
Making some couples adjust their strategy in order to ELIMINATE the nerds that have whitelisted 2 computers and are running a multi in their very own KD... sounds like a Big Win for me.
Dont cry about it, you are getting a privilege anyways in the FIRST place having two accounts under the same IP. When one account logs in, followed by another on that computer in the next room over... theres no way to tell if its one person x-logging cause her husband is working late, or if its two people playing together, or even if its just one nerd straight up cheating.
If u are offended by the change because "zomg but my wife and i play fully honest and never x-log!! why should we have to suffer?!?!?"... Then WAKE UP. If ur playing legit as a couple, never loggin for each other EVER.. then great, good for you! There are plenty of people who can STILL cheat using other methods. FACT. Por ejemplo: Using a wireless cellphone network separate from your home network. Bam. Two separate accounts one home. Whoopdeedoo.
Now the problem, people who came back to this game came back to play with friends or family. Fact. I'm sorry if you have been stuck in a crap kingdom. Your problem. Legitimately, this broke the game. People not even using the same IP are getting blocked. Ooops?
This prevents cheating? Nope. And ya know what? That is a FACT. Keep living your life solo if that's what you like and hide behind your computer. For those of us who have enjoyed playing with friends and family we know in person, this game is over.
