UF NEWS: Scripted Attacks lead to deletions

Im not even going to say any jokes. This is just sad, whoever created those scripted provs really needs to get a life. Its one thing being bounce waved by real provs, but using scripted provs crosses the line imo. Really sucks for whoever was playing that bank prov.

sure it may seem "clear" that provinces were cheating but I still haven't seen any proof. A reporters job shouldn't be to conjecture, rather the reporter should interview someone (Bishop) about the validity of the circumstances.

If you saw the news and the provs involve it would seem "clear" to you. A bunch of provs from 50 something kingdoms who are all like 500 acres attack the same prov at the same time. That doesn't sound fishy to you?

And my other point, just because something seems "fishy" doesn't justify deleting everyone involved...

ROFL dude, it was OBVIOUS that those provs were scripted, nobody needs to put out any proof. If somehow a real player got deleted accidentally then all they have to do is open up a thread about it in the bugs thread. And manual deletions are probably the most accurate, because they are done through reason.

Bishop took time off to delete these scripted provs, and he should be thanked for it not *****ed at -.- Seriously, people these days...

Sad people. I clearly do not get this. It's a game, you win by being better than someone else. Not by your skills of creating a script :s
Also, the ones doing this, should understand that it doesn't do well for the game itselve either...

Well said, golfer44vip. Regardless of what the situation is, it's always nice to see someone who has coherent thought, rational reasoning, and most of all, comprehensible articulation with good grammar and spelling. Just had to throw that out there.

Bishop, he saw no evidence provided in the article of cheating, only allegations, and hence questioned the validity of the allegations. Seems fairly rational to me. I really have no interest in what the actual events were, and I certainly believe you did what you felt was proper -- I have no doubts of that. I merely wanted to express my appreciation for people in this forum -- and in Utopia in general -- who actually are able to, or put the effort into, properly articulating their thoughts.

Deletions are evidence of cheating. His thought were wrong, so why would you appreciate them?

Once again, I don't doubt that the deletions were justified and necessary, and I have no problems with there not being any actual evidence provided. Administrators control the game as they see fit, and that's the way it should be, but please don't insult our and your own intelligence by saying that "deletions prove cheating".

GSX1300R, Admins wont go "random delete" if they don't have good reason/evidence. Second there never was in past 50 "random legit provinces" to attack same time another top prov for no reason. Its possible EOA 2-3 provinces to attack for fun n1 province but its all and EOA.

The deletions obviously show that there was cheating - also my posting in the thread confirming the additional actions we are taking to stop scripters is clearly tacit approval of this article.

Let me say it again - deletions like this indicate the breaking of the games rules. Specifically in this case the provinces deleted were all scripted and played on public proxies.
