I played this game way back in 2009 for a fair while and then never really came back. I'm looking to pick up something like this again, however I did try it out around a year ago and the province/kingdom was dead so I left.
So is this game actually alive with a decent player base? I'd love to get back into it...

The game is alive there are many active Kingdom. don't let the 5.5k players fool you though, this game needs an influx of players.
The game vaeries normally between 5500-6500 with returning players and retiring players. Jump on IRC and you will enjoy it more.

Be selective on irc. If you dig a burning trollfest there is an obvious choice. If you just want to meet weird people who sit in chat idle there are plenty of choices. Yes, I mean they sit in silence staring at a blank screen. This is because we're all aliens who control this world to observe you.
