Thanks for all the help everyone! I've been reading through every single post and the consensus seems to be that Orc/Warrior is more optimal overall but Orc/War Hero is rather situational.

I have now committed myself to an Orc/Warrior with the strat I have alluded with a minor variation in that I build more Hospitals than Barracks due to my naturally fast attack times.
