apparently
the whole world sucks right now
people hate america because it is the world's hoss.
no matter what america (as a country) does, someone will hate america because you can never make everyone happy.
Anzac ftw
Is there a point to this thread?
America is just a chunk of dirt.
It i neither good nor bad.
If there is an issue with the ppl, policies, products....
Then there might be something to debate.

Well, I was mad at the US when I read some of the stuff they did throughout their history (most recently, the Iraq mess).
Then again, I was mad at a lot of people as I read various parts of the history of the world (including my own ancestry for wiping off the natives in such a large scale that it makes the holocaust pale in comparison).
I certainly don't agree with some of the stuff happening inside the US, but then again, I don't live there so as long as it makes them happy and they don't preach it to me, I don't really care.
Different place, different values. Its to be expected.
yawn.

Its easy to find fault.
Its much harder to find acceptence within yourself.

I don't think America sucks.
Again, there was a large Bash-America outburst in the bugs forum, or the Suggestion forum, or some inappropriate forum, so I made this to redirect their opinions to an appropriate place.

Duh, the US has much more visibility than most country (not only because of their military/economic power, but also because of all the cultural exportation they have been doing with the Hollywood machine and whatnot) so you'd expect every mistake they make to get examined under a microscope.
Think of it as the country version of being a celebrity.
Frankly, I find the US interesting (and to a lesser extent, the western world), but overtalked.
Thats why I took history of China for my last elective at university. I needed to get another (non western) perspective.
Yeah, what raiman said.
