    Ban VT2 until age starts

    It's not often i ask for something as drastic as this... but can we please ban VT2 from the forums (or at least Utopia Talk) until the age starts

    his blatant trolling and de-railing of every thread means that even legitimate discussions get completely derailed and end up turning into a flame fest

    and for some who has claimed to have quit uto he certainly isnt helping the future of it

    Well, he is partly right. Vt2 lacks the ability to encourage new people. Even though most ideas are not good or workable it is not much trouble to convert a poor idea into an idea that might work, or give clues to new people to recalculate calculations.

    Even if an idea is poor, and I don't mean someone just parroting what sounds popular, it is good if new players at least try, because it often means that they are trying to understand the game better.

The last time we were forced to obey 'be nice'-rules, we destroyed both suggestions and strategy.
    They haven't recovered since, and no one has felt the need to tempt our wrath again.

    If an idea is poor, the best way to make sure it's not repeated ever again is to ridicule the poster. If the poster in question shows signs of being able to better her- or himself, you explain why it's poor, then unleash the ridicule.
    It's like how if you do critically wrong in a sport that's played to win, against others who play to win, you get ridiculed. It works - telling people that everyone is a winner, and everyone has the right to say stupid stuff, doesn't.
