    The Faery Nerf.

    This age:

    Bonuses:
    * + 50% magic effectivness
    * + 50% thievery effectiveness

    Penalty:
    * - 10% population
    * Offensive Specialist Strength -1

    Other Information:
    * Offensive Specialist: Magicians (4/0)
    * Defensive Specialist: Druids (0/5)
    * Elite Unit: Beastmasters (3/8, $1000, 8.0 nw)
    * Spellbook: All spells

    Changes Rev 2 changes:

    Faery
    +30% damage on spells and ops
    +30% WPA and TPA

    -10% Population
    Offensive Specialist Strength -2

    Spellbook: All racial spells
    Elite: 3/8, 1000gc, 7.5NW

    I am aware that Faery was OP this age, but they lost 1 more attack point on their off specs, lost some very important spells, and lost T/M damage. Is the nerf to strong?

    Then there's a glitch because I've done it - just for the spite of killing off some of the guy's 9/3 elites (@ +15% from Warrior).

    I'll have to ask you to prove it, because we have already had people complain they couldn't ambush and the "issue" was that the prov used war spoils.

    3 mana/hour
    3 stealth/hour + personality
    Defense:
    8 @ 8 NW


    This age:
    Damage:
    1.3 * 3 mana/hour + personality
    1.3 * 3 stealth/hour + personality
    Defense:
    8 @ 7.5 NW


    I see the faery nerf. I also see the faery buff. I don't know what to think of it, but I'll recommend faery for all our T/Ms again, and *may* discourage hybrids again. And I'd gladly war anyone our size that lacked faeries, since I'd be sure we'd win the T/M side. Claiming faery needs *more* of a buff is ridiculous imo.
    it's vs. its is ambiguous - from now on I'm attempting to use the proper possessive it's, and the contraction 'tis. (Its will just be the plural.)

    I would hate to disappoint here, but Faery can be beaten on all 3 aspects of the game. Elf can cast on magic on Faery. Halfling can thieve faery. Everyone can break faery.

    Why CQ a faery?

    ^That's why. If you're trying to drop the enemy nw, it's not reasonable to just let the enemy TMs sit around and hoard loads of land/nw while you sit there and exchange with their attackers. As far as raising their wpa/tpa by hitting for land, don't ever criticize someone else's logic after spewing that garbage at me. Go ahead and tell me which one's going to be more effective for your war...

    2000 acres
    5 tpa
    5 wpa

    or

    200 acres
    50 tpa
    50 wpa


    yea, 200 acre faery sucks and is a complete and total liability.

    War Spoils

    Ordinarily, any land captured in attacks require time to take control of and become available for your own use. War Spoils gives you the opportunity to get this land from combat immediately.     Available to: The Undead, Halflings, Faeries
    Effect: Makes the land gained from Traditional March immediately available.
    Duration: max 6 hours
    Cast Message: Our army has been blessed with immediate War Spoils for 3 days!
    Mystic Advisor Message: War Spoils give us quick returns on our attacks
    Entirely different effects, and I've never been denied using Ambush against an attack that used War Spoils (unless, of course, they used War Spoils AND Anonymity). In my experience, the game functions 100% in accordance with what's presented in the Wiki - and, if that has changed, it needs to be fixed.


    Though where I think some of this confusion may lie is people complaining that they Ambushed an army but didn't capture any land. Of course they didn't - due to War Spoils, the Army didn't have the land.

    Last one I did was back in YR8, so I can't bring it up for you. They're rare (most people don't bother, since they can't reclaim the land), but I have seen them in other Papers as well.

    To be perfectly honest, I see no reason why War Spoils should make an army immune to Ambush - that's what Anonymity is for.

    Well you can make a separate suggestion thread for that, but at the moment you can not ambush a WS hit. If you did as you claim, we need proof.
