For those in doubt, we treat all kingdoms fairly and have agreed to a kingdom principle that as long as people don't treat us like assholes, we won't be assholes to them. Jerks dealbroke us last age and hit us into postwar - they apologized, so we let it go. Legacy dealbroke us this age and hit us into our raze-fest - they apologized, so we made a fair deal and let it go. Honestly, it isn't that hard. We don't ask that we don't be hit or that we don't fight, just that we be treated by fairly standard rules. Don't hit us into hostile, don't hit us into war, don't hit us into postwar, and if you make a deal with us, keep it. If you screw any of that up, apologize and talk to us and we'll figure it out. Of course, if you ignore that and treat us like assholes, we'll be even bigger bastards back. It's obviously in everyone's best interests to just play fairly with us, but for some reason people think they deserve special treatment, then get surprised when they get treated like **** by us.
