I don't think it was to dimish or stop cowing, but to diminish/stop practices that made cowing too easy by abusing gaps in the explore system.

Carefully look at how Sheister just worded it. "Abusing gaps in the explore system." <--- This type of BS is what is going to turn utopia once and for all into a noob game. If you want to turn utopia into a nanny state where there is only 1 way to play and everyone else is exploiting ****, game is dead.

Palem, people create strategies in Chess, not the admins. Admins don't go policing Chess saying "Queens gambit is too imba you are banned from playing." Simiarly, people created the concept of "cowing." Admins are finding that to be too imba and have started to nerf it. This is OK in utopia because we do make BALANCING changes to the game.

What I took note of is Sheister calling cowing an ABUSE of exploring mechanism. In his eyes, the legal strategy that players came up with called "cowing" is an ABUSE of mechanics. My point is THAT line of logic is VERY dangerous and what I am worried about when the noobs come out of the woodwork to start filing complaints about everything that was once considered strategy. We need to draw a clear distinction between BALANCING and ABUSE.

Let me clarify. COWING is a strategy. Using team play to assemble resources to give a province a NW advantage is a strategy. Exploiting the formulas to avoid an INTENDED cost curve to creating said province is the loop hole/abuse. The changes were made (to the best I can tell) to enforce the costs of creating cows, not to eliminate cows.

I find two things really funny :D:

- for a self-proclaimed "smartest player in Utopia", Godly fails to get the difference between any use of the reset option and what they did and what's wrong (even after 15 explanations).
- cheaters always claim they are smarter than others, and cry when they get punished.
