Surely this one is missing some key thread motivating community figures that the CR/AMA thread had, plus at this stage it just feels like it's being kept alive with weak discussion by people who want to reach 160 pages. ;)

No one ever said uto makes sense. In fact, I think during one of my tirades once upon a time, Korp and most of the posters in this thread took great pains to point out to me that uto does not make sense. Once I accepted that, the game became a lot more rational and I was able to just let go and roll with it.

The devs have made a decision to kill competitive utopia and have thereby killed my interest with it.
Which is why terms like "abs ppl" are inaccurate here, the term "former abs leaders" is much more appropriate to the situation. And I'm going out on a very strong limb saying that flogger was much closer to a leader than a grunt. ;)

The statement was "abs people do this and that" which is not accurate, because not all abs people did this and that. Context, context, context.
If the statement was "abs leaders do this and that" then it would have been accurate.

Thats a sad argument, then you can never talk in broad terms ever. Do you specify every little thing you talk about "People are idiots" isnt true, "Utopians are douchebags" not all of em etc.

True to some extent that emeriti did some plays against ethic in the eyes of other big kingdoms. But after all the actions by the anti abs alliance , isn't ur actions as bad as what emeriti had done?

I'm fairly certain that flogger was in Abs court, and 100% certain that he ran an Abs kingdom as a monarch for multiple ages, so I'd say you kept that one rather close to the tree trunk. Considering SnirpsneR was also a former Abs leader, I'd say your argument is rather spot on. There's no way this whole thing is "abs vs anti-abs". There are just as many former abs leaders in BB/ancillary KDs as there are in Emeriti/ancillary KDs.
The smart former abs people aren't in Emeriti.

That's rather rude to say, but you're allowed to have your opinion. It doesn't change the fact that this whole PR stunt to make this GB into "abs vs anti-abs" is false since you have just as many former abs leaders as we do.
