The only facts I know are:

-palems kd was bouncing down a single province kd
-the single province sent out mail about it
-palems kd ate waves from multiple kds possibly in response to mass mailings

I assume there is quite a bit more to the story and have no idea what lead up to those events. These things could all be unrelated to his woes as well.

from those 3 facts, it seems like palem thought he can get rid of a single prov but it ended up that prov outnumbering him? sounds embarrassing, but i believe there must be more to the story as well..

At "thick skin"; it helps to have a thick skin, but we should hold lowlife trolls up to the magnifying glass. These people are small shriveled parasites. We should act as smiling giants and spray them with bleach...and squash them. Pick them up with a paper towel and flush them every time they appear. Aqualung, my friend....

a little birdy told me there was some misinformation flying around here, so I thought I'd clear things up.

What happened with POINT (the solo prov):
-I had intended to just have a chill age with a couple friends. We were seeing who could finish the largest. POINT was larger and continuously hitting our top.
-I contacted him about a CF. He accepted, but broke the CF about 3-4 days later iirc.
-He continued hitting our top for acres which essentially put a cap on how large we could reasonably grow, so we decided we needed to do something about it. So we made preparations and began to bounce him down to remove him from his position.
-I figured he would call in some friends, so it was no surprise to me when a few kingdoms started hitting in (although I must say I was a little disappointed to see Emeriti in our news)
-He made no attempts to contact me about arranging a CF.
-We were about 2 hours away from breaking him before he got into Vacation Mode (I assume illegally).

So that's what happened with that.

So does anyone know for a fact what the reason behind Palem ragequitting & posting about it on the forums is?

The original purpose of this post was to act as a receptacle to collect the tears of those who I had planned on terrorizing for the remainder of the age for generally acting above and beyond the amount of lame that I've grown to expect from a typical kingdom in utopia. Massacring TM's while they're hostile, razing into wars, that kind of thing. The plan was to do that for the rest of the age, then leave, but after reflection I decided there was no point in griefing, and that if I didn't want to be here, then I should just leave. So I used the thread I had already posted to do that.

In short, nothing "happened". There were no extra-meanie trolls. I wasn't suddenly extra-angry about something that's been happening for the past 11 years (kingdoms waving into my hostile). Utopia is a naturally frustrating game and there comes a time when you are unable to come up with a good answer to the question "Why am I here?". Over the past few ages I've found utopia to do nothing but make a negative impact on my life, and so I no longer wish to participate. It's really not any more complicated than that.

If you keep getting waved into hostile, why don't you figure out how to stop it? If people are mean, be meaner.

As for the prov going VM, report him. It's illegal to use VM to avoid getting hit. Once reported, he most likely gets booted from VM and you can eat him.
