Mom is speaking in T minus 5 minutes. I stopped listening to the DNC some time yesterday.

IMO Obama's speech was not what she needed at all last night. Triumphalism isn't resonating when there are clearly things wrong with the country and where it is heading.

Hill has a chance here to acknowledge the existing crises in this country and how she is going to work to make them better. It's something she has to say if she wants to really grab the center like she wants; otherwise people are going to see through the obvious pandering for center-right voters and give no ****s. FUD about Trump has been set. She got as good a humanizing speech from First Lady Bill as anyone could have wanted.

Imma watching and hoping she doesn't screw this up.
