Yeah, you'd think with all their agenda fueled talk they'd be smarter than this. Have to respect Proteus for giving in to the hotheadedness here a bit.

Speaking purely for myself, upon learning that CR was going to compete this age, for me at least, owning them was so much more enjoyable than winning another crown. I hate everything there is about CR, that kingdom just reeks of undeserved ego and the way they go about the game expecting all other kds to pay them copious amount of land just because they "are CR" is disgusting.

For me it's a fundamental game play difference, as fundamental as capitalism vs communism. I like to outplay other kds and beat the crap out of them in conflict and want to get big through taking acres from other top kds via conflict. I 100x prefer to take acres from someone against their will in a fight than I do to "tax" someone. We all random/whore/take acres for cf from smaller kingdoms during cf periods to maintain growth and keep up but the way CR does it is just over board and that's why no one really likes them. If you listen to the chatter, they are the kingdom everyone complains about.

As everyone knows I can be arrogant and an asshole but you don't really see me asking anyone to give me 20% their land or 1.25x competitor land like CR does, I prefer to fight and beat my enemies. CR especially zauper / godly just run their mouths so much and have so much arrogance but never back up what they say. When have they beaten good kingdoms in close fights without having a million advantages? When has CR won a war instead of (or without having) pumped all age.

Flogger is a cocky guy but I respect him because he knows how to war and doesn't do the stupid tax ****. He has other areas where he plays less than optimal (e.g. getting into very difficult fight with strong kds he has a 50-50 shot of beating a bit too early in the age) but he is good at "bringing it" and backing up what he says. When he wins, he usually wins very close even fights against top kds and doesn't cf the whole server for 6 weeks and tax all age to do it. Difference is the guy know has to war very well, CR doesn't, that's why they need to grow and tax the crap out of everyone to win. I can name plenty of ages where one of the kds I play in or floggers have warred a good kd early on and won, whereas anytime CR wars a top kd early, they never crown.

I dont know but CRs 4 crowns from age 60 to 69 is a testament to their skills i would say.

I recognize the irony in Proteus comments, but let's not take facts out of context. Here's a rant partially putting things in context.

Wsk had by far the best start this age and had taken free land from CR and entered fortified on ~26k acres with their incoming. Emeriti fortified earlier and had to hold off waving wsk due to wsk being in other hostiles (like waving CR.) With wsk in fort on ~26k acres with incoming and Emeriti having already used their fort and being on 16k acres, it was clear that wsk would be in unbeatable position once their fort was done. Emeriti choose to wave a kingdom into fortified that was on about 60% more land than them and had 2-3 unbreakable cows to Emeriti's 0. Emeriti was also sage based which are not at their strongest first week of the age. Emeriti waved into the fort knowing it would be an uphill and potentially unwinnable fight but also knowing that not waving meant wsk would be unbeatable after fort. Emeriti didn't know who the kingdom was that they were waving at that time. Emeriti gained 5k acres in the fight, with wsk winning the war and also breaking even. Both kingdoms were still in good position after the war.

As for CR's 4 land crowns since Age 60, 3 of them were when Emeriti existed as a kingdom, but let's put them in context. Emeriti had won the age before CRs crown streak and was #1 with a dominant lead the age of CR's first win in the streak. CR was taking an off age with Zauper, jwuzi, and munk playing in Emeriti. Zauper betrayed Emeriti by giving flogger Emeriti's leadership logs to help Flogger's alliance justify gbing them. Zauper also directly and repeatedly lied about doing this when confronted. After Emeriti were completely gb'd down, the CR leaders then went back to CR and coasted to an uncontested crown.

After being unfairly gb'd from #1, Emeriti was essentially semi-disbanded for the next two ages after that and not competing. CR won both ages with minimal competition primarily by getting an early lead then heavily taxing everyone. Emeriti then decided to compete again and won the next two ages, both with nw's over double the #2 kingdom.

Last age, CR waved Emeriti into what was already a double hostile oop despite Emeriti directly telling them they were hostile. Emeriti was in position to declare any of the three kingdoms and beat any of them in war, but cf'd the first two with the intention to declare CR. CR then jumped to another war before Emeriti could declare them and farm them.

Later in the age there was drama when CR warred bunnies with Bunnies gaining land and honor in the war to hold their #1 honor position while CR got the war win. Bunnies farmed gc from Sparta after the war, but CR knew this and decided they would b2b them and were still 100% confident in the victory. Even a couple days into the war when it was clear that bunnies were farming CR, CR was still 100% confident in victory. As the war continued, CR just got farmed more and more, losing lots of land and honor in the process. Much like this war, CR's overconfidence prevented them from being able to see themselves getting farmed and so they stayed in war while farming more and more. After bunnies farmed CR in the war CR picked, CR decided they needed to gb Bunnies down to enable CR to beat them in a war. With the help of many kingdoms gbing bunnies, CR was able to have a third war and finally win with both land and honor, leading to CR winning the honor crown.

There are plenty of other CR issues this doesn't even touch on.

That all said, there are plenty of good people playing in CR and CR as a kingdom is still one of the best whoring kingdoms around today.

I really thought CR would win this.

That's because a few of us have pawned our share of orcs when we dressed like faeries. It takes time to learn war nuances and coss is apparently very good at this. Wsk has a good crew and flexible enough to accept lots of diversity.

The Aquaseafoam post is interesting. I think it's important to note the gb was related to the Romote1 guy vs BeastBlood, if memory serves me(?)

Like I said before, its that CR is walking among the best warring kingdoms that hurts their battle prowess. As much could be said for Pyro. I was surprised at the convention of their war doctrine. I'm sure cJ was a superior combat leader and this had not been realized before he left. My respect for Pyro was always high and remains so.

So Proteus, when we warred pyro (with flogger in it) yr1 and crowned, that wasn't an early war? Or was it not a crown? Or were they just not a good kd? I suppose I'm confused. ASF for example glossed over this as "CR got ahead early". Sure, by beating the competition.

Was it not a "close fight" when they had 4 cows vs our 2 and we won? Or when pew had 4 larger cows vs our 3 (and us coming straight off a war? Oh, and you were there for that as I recall) Or when sleepy had 4 larger cows vs our 3 (and us coming off b2b wars?)

Did we "tax too much" when pandas got more tax land than us but we were larger? This being the second time we "got ahead early" and "taxed everyone" to win.

Zauper, I agree that there is hypocrisy with regards to taxing and CR has proven themselves to be one of the better warring kingdoms of recent ages as well. I actually don't know a whole lot about what happened those two ages Emeriti wasn't competing so my glossing over it wasn't an attempt to diminish your accomplishments, more ignorance on my part.
