personally I think both should be deleted for chart shaping...any form of non compete agreement is chart shaping in my book. Usually it's hard to prove that such agreements really exist but since these two readily admitted and quoted such agreement it's easy in this case.

chart shaping to me is anything that involves an agreement that directly hinders competition.

cf...two kingdoms agreeing not to hit each other...they can both still compete and hit others...not chart shaping
non compete clause...one kingdom telling another they can't compete....chart shaping

So isn't the entire strategy of growth kingdoms for the past countless ages "chart shaping" then? They all make agreements that affect the end results of charts.

Of course it is. And thats why all these "chart shaping" accusations are so silly. Apparently chart chaping have been the main component of Utopia top play and been done by every top kd since the betas.

That being said, I hate all these cf deals involving non compete, taxation etc. I would never agree to a non compete deal and I would never pay tax ever.

And isn't "chart shaping" a term that came about as a result of actions within the warring and honor charts, not the growth charts, in the first place?

"Chart shaping" in the growth charts is not the same as the "chart shaping" situations that were criticized and actioned within the war and honor charts.

The war chart especially, does not contain numbers that can every really fluctuate in both directions; they can only increase. When you endeavor to shape the war chart, you are affecting a chart in a permanent fashion with numbers that are set in stone once they are achieved (meaning they cannot be decreased from the point they have reached).

In the growth charts, you can endeavor to shape the end result, but it is not guaranteed and the numbers can fluctuate in either direction from any number of impacting sources not involved in the shaping endeavor. That's why growth chart deals are not considered to be "shaping" anything, because they are merely narrow attempts to affect the outcome that still have to face potential impact from the rest of the players in the game.

So, using a term that gained traction and scorn from the warring chart is not going to get you much momentum when you try to apply it to the growth charts.
