no, je t'aime directly translated is I like you. Je t'adore directly translated is 'I love you.'. But yes, I know that it's accepted as 'I love you' but social norms are for losers.

You're right about the no sex implicated though. I saw the e and jumped in before I remembered (haven't taken French in awhile =\)

    Palem,

you do not understand the difference btw litteral translation and descriptive translation.

in english as in french there is many words that can mean the same thing but for different situations as there can be one word that can be used in many situations. litteral translation is when that word is being used to represent the french/english translation instead of representing the actual context and direction of the sentence which is the descriptive translation.
Best way to understand it is to use google/astalavista's translation tool or any computer translating tool for litteral translation. Obvously we communicate to each other using manners and structures and complexes for someone to understand and react exactly we intend them to. so saying just je t'aime would be counter-productive in the reason why words and languages exists in the first place so giving a simple meaning and make it a litteral absolution is erronous.

to say: Je t'aime mean literally and grammatically I(je) love (aime) you(t')
However, for the word (aime) to get his communicative sense, you would need to attach a sentence to it in order to grasp if its a. friendly love, b. romantic love . to say: Je t'adore means: Je(I) t'(you) adore(adore) . same thing, as you might have implied a descriptive meaning to it, it is clear that you do not intend adore to mean idolizing someone or something, or to imply friendly appreciation as this word is often used among friends when one person does somthing to help someone in which the other is very greateful for.

    bottom line:

people always listen and read in descriptive meanings. so even litteral translations will be taken that way thus confusing the listener/reader.

your mistake: from french;giving a in-context descriptive translation and defining it as a litteral translation and then from this erronous translation, making a 4th litteral out of context word to describe a descriptive translation.

Palem gets a 'F' in french
What a rip-off. I went into our local bookstore and saw this huge
display with a sign saying "Newly translated from the original French:
37 mating positions." Noticing that the books were already wrapped in
plain brown paper, I just hadda buy one.

Once safely at home I opened it, out of sight of my wife, and found
that I had just purchased an expensive book about Chess.

Why is this thing still alive?
Catwalk's crusade for legalized cheating was a stunning success, with ghettos and low-tiered teams everywhere losing their wells of knowledge to better kingdoms in the process.

Step one: replace everything that works.
Step two: blame the predictable epic fail on outside forces.
Step three: keep the community informed that no progress has been made since the last update.
Step four: thank you for your patience.

    No, you're an idiot.
I told you to fetch me the game, then I'd play.
I'm not considering this stupidity serious enough to actually get the game myself.

You either get it for me, or I win.
    Now, shut up.

Unless or course all you need is the serial which I can PM to you.

There are plenty of offers to send you SC. If you want to back out of the challenge that's perfectly fine but don't try to act like you 'beat me'. You challenged me, I accepted, and you backed out.
