I'm running Dwarf and I am thinking of starting oop with a full elite offense. I have my reasons BUT:
Two questions
1:Is it a bad idea/good idea to build leets so early on? Elaborate so that I have the information I need, to make a informed decision.
2:what kinda numbers do people come oop with these days and on what acres? I am talking averages, not top of the charts, perhaps you could give me the average acres/opa/dpa of an attacker and explorer?
I have not seen an age start in years, seeing as though I re-joined half way through last age, that it why I ask.
Tx
if you can afford them, i see no reason why not...
the big issue is to get ALL your soldiers trained, 2.5k o-specs > 1k elites =)
OOP acreage is normally the 400-600 range
and opa/dpa OOP isnt important, pure numbers are
15k offense with 5k defense at 500-550 acres is normally a pretty reasonable expectation
Deliverance -> secrets -> anzac -> mercy -> rage -> "ghetto"![]()
How do you get a clairvoyent back after she dumped you, before you have even met?
Rohypnol.
Catwalk's crusade for legalized cheating was a stunning success, with ghettos and low-tiered teams everywhere losing their wells of knowledge to better kingdoms in the process.
Step one: replace everything that works.
Step two: blame the predictable epic fail on outside forces.
Step three: keep the community informed that no progress has been made since the last update.
Step four: thank you for your patience.
I think that is why she dumped me before we met. lol
Invest in a dartgun, and inject her from a distance.

Can't believe I'm actually going to toss something up to VT2 here... but caustic as he is, he does have sound theory behind his responses.
Is NM useful? Can NM chains actually mess people up big time? Like to the point where an NS run by a "t" (not T) will work? And then double-taps by the "A" and even the "a"s?
I thought it would take about 4 provs to halve the def and TPA with NM, without dropping the NW too far. Overly optimistic? Requires full mana, or only 12 hours worth?
And can DE legitimately run a/t/M or a/T/m? Or is a/t/m the best it can manage? (if it is expected to do all three)
I am sad we didn't get the +1 stealth back for DE, but at least the runes are gone again. If the stealth bonus can back they'd be really scary with the (kingdomwide) a/T/m + a/t/M idea.
it's vs. its is ambiguous - from now on I'm attempting to use the proper possessive it's, and the contraction 'tis. (Its will just be the plural.)
Think Different
Nightmare is one of the most powerful spells in the game.
Getting a ton of them in on people is also very, very hard, and usually requires that you assassinate wizards for a bit before you start - especially if you're playing above low-tier.
Once you've nightmared away all those troops, you launch a ton of attacks, and then the target WILL suffer, regardless of who it is.
Those things you put into retraining still count as population, so it's really easy to overpop people.
None of the current races can run an effective A/T/M. You need some kind of grand pop-bonus for it, a strong army, and preferably a bonus to TPA or WPA.
The old human/sage, despite having a penalty to mana, and not having the best offensive spellbook around, still made for a badass A/T/M, thanks to the insane science.

VT2,
What's the best way to GROW as large as possible and be a "utopia-worlds largest turtle?"
VT2
may i kindly ask help for a human/sage strat for a heavy attacker? w/ minor tm and mage (science will take care of the rest) emphasis on science buildup for late game and stat for 1000 acres, 2000 acres ööö
