    That's ultimately the point...

A ghetto filled with blatant squishy noobs waved a top KD. They did so under the assumption of the old game mechanics that came with the old code. We aren't on the old code or the old game mechanics. And for the first time, when a noob does something stupid. IE... Pick a fight with someone they have no business fighting. They have to pay for it. And when they did, they went whining into the forums instead of taking the whipping/slaughter that they have coming to them. If they would've took their whipping, recovered, and moved on... i could at least respect them for it. But all the Boo Hoo "these bigger better guys are kicking our butts because WE gave them the button" crap... that's what makes them laughable.

    [EDIT]

And yes, Wizzy is in fact... a gay fish.
When the nay-sayers pipe up with talk of exploitation through strategy and planning I'm reminded of a Jack Nickolson quote, "I think of a man, then I remove logic and reason from him"

Actually, from your perspective - that does make sense Panda, that it was prob. unknown to them - and I have a similar view to just throw people in the **** to shape 'em up rather than baby 'em - but still I think it may have been a little more appropriate to just let it slide either that or align it with a threat; give free hits or declare and they take a lot more, it sends the same message and it teaches them that the mechanic is broken.

Its also unknown if this wave they made giving the button was based on suicides drawing unknowing noobs into making the grabs giving the button in the first place. If they waved on their own then they screwed up. If they were drawn in with the bug being known and a planned use then its a exploited bug.

I maintain that this is more than likely going to go down as the one thing, one thing, that OMAC does right. Topfeeders and bottomfeeders alike will now have to think before giving the button to a random KD. There won't be any of that,"Hey, they got a prov or two we can prolly farm, lets hit em" crap. People will be forced to think and live by the decisions they make instead of hitting just to hit, and then turn around running away scott-free like they just stole something and got away with it.

As for whether Sonata makes them rethink ever so much as getting a CE off their KD again, or just roughs them up a little bit. IDK, that's their call. Me personally... I'd have my KD PK every last one of them. But that's me.... really its a judgement call. And I have to respect Sonata for giving it to them. It's like a huge billboard that says,"We don't F*** around, deal with it." Can't really go wrong there.

For the record, they had the Button cuz one of Sonata's provinces suicided on one of them..

Sonata broke the cf agreement for the second time this year? Fine by me, part of the game. So, retaling on a suicide seem logical thinking they can't war us. After all, the only way to stop a top kingdom is to arrass them indeed enough so it becomes a pain for them to come at you. you'll never win anything, you just might be able to push back a little the next time they come around. Again, fine by me, it's game mechanic, I've been on both sides, I really can't complain.

    But that is simply ridiculous.
The game is suppose to prevent that crap and it is a bug. Realest, you know it. All that argumentation that you are doing with a smile on your face is insulting to everyone intelligence and you should be a shame of yourself.

This is just a game and I don't really care. There never was much fairness or fair play in this game but at least there were boundary set by the game, I'd like to see those back for the sake of this game that I still love. But I mainly would like to see people stop acting like childish hypocrites.

    LIES...

This game is cutthroat. CUT THROAT. We PK provs throughout the age. RESET. And we all know how much it sucks to have to bite that bullet for a KD.

They knew what the game was Age 1, War 1. Making accuses because they're stupid noobs, is EXACTLY, what will keep them at the level of stupid noobs.

You call it retal when you outhit them enough to give them the war button?

You ****ed up in relying on a mechanic that wasn't meant to enable you to outhit someone you shouldn't want to outhit. The mechanic itself doesn't really make that much sense. If you're gonna have it at all, it should be a more narrow range. Not like a 51% kd will do much better than a 49% kd.

You relied on a mechanic you thought would be there to empower your own position, and then you come whining when it turns out you couldn't abuse that mechanic. And then you call other people hypocrites?

You seem to be unable to grasp how top kd's think. You say all you can do is harass them. You see that's where you're wrong. Harassing people pisses them off. What you want to do is refuse to roll over and play dead. You need to show that you're not free land, you will keep hitting back and keep the gains +-0. The top kd's don't want to waste time in retal wars unless they outgain the opposing kd (and if they do, you deserve to get farmed). There is a difference between being annoying and actually harassing someone. If you think you can get away with outhitting a kd so much bigger, then I'm glad this mechanic isn't there at the moment, because you need to be taught a lesson.

Few will put up with this, and it will only further weaken the playerbase.

Oh, and found reviews for the game. http://www.gamefaqs.com/computer/onl...ew/916589.html
Catwalk's crusade for legalized cheating was a stunning success, with ghettos and low-tiered teams everywhere losing their wells of knowledge to better kingdoms in the process.

Step one: replace everything that works.
Step two: blame the predictable epic fail on outside forces.
Step three: keep the community informed that no progress has been made since the last update.
Step four: thank you for your patience.

If people wanna run away cause they can't punk out a group of better players... let them. The Playerbase has been on the decline for sometime now, might as well get rid of the crybabies too.

I am told it was not an intentional declaration, but while the camelaman was filming Rearest and Gergnub, he accidentally sat on the war button. They finished quickly (par for the course for Gergnub but still new to Reary) and immediately assembled the Sonata Brain Trust to develop a war pran. After hours of discussions, it was decided that they would "max gain" in an attempt to maximize gains.

    Ressons Rearned:
    1. Get a competent camelaman. Even if he hadn't ****ed it up by sitting on the button, he creary didn't know what he was doing.
    2. Ghettos get protection to allow them to retal better and harder than top kingdoms who hit them, but they do not have free reign to rape and prunder the top kingdoms.
    3. Kingdoms who run multis to hit top kingdoms (you know who you are) should be aware that they need to stagger their hits or they might just give the kingdom they're trying to cheat a war button to farm with, and that would be bad, mmmmkay?
    4. Everyone in the world should immediately begin hitting VT2's ghetto so that we can farm him when he gives us the button.

Why would people leave now? Kd's in the 50-60% range have been declarable before, and they usually can't do **** back either.

Because a tiny kingdom with 11 players will not like it when they literally have nothing whatsoever they can do to 'combat' those with 25 players, and are twice their own size in networth and acres.
If they hit back, they risk getting declared on. If they don't, they get farmed.

There really is no limit to how much people like you love being able to bully weaker kingdoms.
