funny how all you liberals/dems decry you are the party of tolerance. Yet all you do pi** and moan when some one have different beliefs than you and you want to FORCE them to see your way or shut them down. I expect no less from you though DHaran, after all you live in MD.

Ryan has quite a bit of street cred amongst the republican base because he talks a big game about being a deficit hawk and a Randian, don't think the way he has voted on the issues bears that out though tbh. Romney desperately needs that kind of support with his base because a lot of them see him as a Massachusetts centrist with no beliefs of his own, who is willing to flip flop on any position. If you can name a position that Romney holds, he has probably held the opposite of it some time in the not so distant past.

Personally I think it's a terrible strategy, and so do a lot of republican representatives who have to deal with the implications down ballot when they're running and the country has been informed as to what's actually in the GOP budget that Ryan authored. These are terribly unpopular policies.

The political theorists would tell you that it should be quite difficult for an incumbent to win a race during this kind of economic climate, so it will be supremely embarrassing for the Romney campaign if they lose.

Or maybe Romney just chose him because under the Ryan plan he would have paid .82% in taxes in 2010.
You obviously THINK you know more than you do because Ryan carries clout with BOTH parties. He is from WISCONSIN and has 35% of dems in his district and wins 70% of the vote. The plan/budget he wrote was with a DEMOCRAT from Oregon. Oh and the polls are now turning in the "swing states" for Romney/Ryan. Just thought you might like to know that.

lol@heralding polling before the campaign goes to work on the VP pick.

lol@thinking the ryan plan is bipartisan

lol@thinking ryan would balance the budget

You're clearly a member of the base to which I was referring before. You can't spend your way out of debt? Check what Ryan voted for; tarp, auto bailout, wars, stimulus.

    gg no re.

    noob strategy is noob.

The Kingdom of Heaven would like to register its support of Michele Bachmann for the office of president.

My dad already talked to her asking her to run, he's pretty ticked at the primary voters right now.

    Pls fix asap.

A party doesn't run 2 candidates if they are in the white house already. Why split your votes?
I believe that both parties work for the same side, which is not you. ON that note I believe that Romney will win, but if he fails as president the republican party is done. The voters will come out en-mass and vote democratic until eventually we become a left-wing pinko communism and the NWO takes over.

Obama rating last four years 8/10.
Did we all forget who the idiot was? America's most hated president .... BUSH! G W BUSH!
For anyone to inherit what that moron left behind along with 9/11 which caused so much issues, stock market, banks, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.
Can things be perfect in 4 years ? You morons complain about Obama when frankly, wasn't all this **** left behind by BUSH and 9/11 along with the war efforts?
Is it even realistic to think in 4 years ... from the moment Bush left office to now ... for us to be in better shape than we are now? Could things be better? Maybe, but I am quite happy with where the country is at, considering where we were at. If someone told me in 4 years when Bush was in office that things would be stable, banks are working, troops are moving out of Iraq, stock market is stable, the world hasn't ended I pretty much would be happy.
Now for Obama, personally I don't like him. But he has done a suitable, accepted job considering the circumstances. People complain about debts, no ****. How else can he bail out all these companies along with banks, GM, airline companies, etc etc, etc, etc.
Funny how people change in 4 years. I swore Bush was the cause, now for some reason ... everything is the fault of Obama, get real. We are feeling the effects of Bush's term still this first 4 years.
This country need stability. Obama offers just that. He's not a miracle worker, but at least the country is stable. Bush caused all of this, don't forget. It has lasting effects, usually 6-10 years. For this country to be where we are in 4 years is nothing short of a miracle.

OMG! Another Blame Bush RANT! HEY, quess what? we haven't seen or heard from BUSH in 4 years! Obama has been president for the last 4 years and has done nothing but expand on the Bush mistakes. GEEZ! you may have been drinking way too much kool-aid! Hello BIG GOVERNMENT! lots of good its doing in the New Jersey and New York area, is that Bush Fault too? How about the 4 dead Americans in Libya, oops it was Bush who called off the responds teams, NO. How about the unemployment rate, Bush too? Secret deals with the Russian, that Bush too? Trillions of debt that Obama added to us more than Bush ever did. Face it, Obama makes Carter look like a naive boy scout when it comes to incompetent government. Another 4 years of Obama and we'll rip ourselves apart.

ah buts its a democratic senate and it takes both to screw up things.

Just a note .9 -11 came as Bush was coming into office and Clinton could have had Osama long before it happened but wouldnt pull the trigger .The banks and stock market collapse was told years ago would happen when President Clinton had them lower the regulations on the housing market to give people not qualified to pay house payments loans anyway.

The Republicans revel in being wrong about everything, like it's a point of pride. It has to be one of the most brilliant campaign strategies ever to solidify the rise of fascism American-style - you have a party of psychopathic aggrotrolls, and a party that is so corrupt and incompetent that said aggrotrolls are somehow given credence, instead of being utterly rejected and kept as far from power as possible.

Bush and friends did a huge number on the country, something that's still going to have reprecussions for the next guy to sit in office. How much of what's wrong can you blame squarely on republicans having free reign for 8 years, and having republicans stall anything that would reverse what happened in those 8 years ever since then? There is so much that can be purely attributed to sheer stupidity among the people that lead this country, that had absolutely no reason to ever happen. The 1990s were bad too, in large part because the conservitards got to gut the country with their Contract Against America back when Reagan and friends were in charge. You can only blame so much on trends before questioning the kind of leadership and mentality that is guiding this country, and given how vile the conservative agenda has been since the 1980s, it's plainly clear that a major problem is that we still give these people political and social legitimacy.
