Prot did you even read my posts. I used an example of a strat that would clearly have its bases routed in the HoDF strat and then said Flogger was going to run it in his kingdom and take full credit for coming up with the strat. I was being sarcastic, I don't actually expect sword to do this (except for taking credit for strays he didn't invent that I would believe) infact with all the new obsticals I don't expect anyone to do it. I wasn't trying to "call dibs" on a strat or even form a fully detailed strat. I was merely implying that flogger claiming to have invented home flopping was simalar to my example. You should try comprehending things that you read before you respond to them lol.

Lol curdie even if u don't believe me u are friends with some of my kingdom mates, they will confirm I don't care at all about that :) I'm far happier where I'm at now than I ever was there. U know I don't have a grudge against any of you besides maybe flogger and that's because of our interactions hear in the forums not because of the RK. I always thought John was a bit of a dick as well but I think it was u who told me that "that's just John" so can't really hold that against him :p

Actualy prot in the real world it kinda is, at least when talking about inventions. This is why people copyright proprietary ideas so that others can't go out and use their hard work without compensating them. In the real world this means If i thought up the new cool gizmo that everyone must have I get credit for it in the terms of cash even if i wasn't the person who actually manufactured said gizmo and would still be considered the gizmos inventor. What flogger did was take something that everyone had thought up, say a hammer, and built it a little better than anyone else and now wants credit as the inventor which is absurd. :)

It's kinda technical wording prot I know but essentially what that is saying is that if you draw a diagram of your idea and can describe how to build it and patent that it's the same as building a prototype and patenting it which is what I was getting at, your right though u can't actually copyright the idea itself although people do to some extent sense the laws are not quite as simple as you might believe. In the case of flogger the example still works. EVERYONE came up with the diagram and the way to build it for what he did they just didnt see any value in it so he was just the only one who built it. So while he might not be able to take credit for inventing it he should take credit for being ingenious enough to see value where no one else did.

I used the hammer example specifically because it poped up in pretty much every culture around the world. Meaning just about everyone thought of it. Now you could go back and try to figure out who in each culture came up with the idea and built each cultures first hammer respectively and then give them all joint credit but that's probably impossible and the idea is so simple and obvious that any idiot could have come up with it really. Same with the rotating halfer strat that age.

You can copyright the Evillone ProHammer design, you cannot copyright the idea of a hammer. Technical wording is important in forums.
