You're assuming quite a lot. I would say that I care about success much less in utopia than in other areas of life, especially over the last 3 years. If you met me in person, I would exert power over you through wit and charm, and I don't lose to anyone. The last time I lost to someone, it was in high school and I spread a rumor about that person and destroyed him.

Now, to counterpoint: when are you going to beat me in utopia? If you can't beat me in a simple text game, how well do you think that you'll fare in more complicated competitions?
