How can I see the countless times you have abused them when I don't even know who you are? I will take your word for it though, you seem to like abusing people. I don't see how my existence is a detriment to this game. I wouldn't call myself a hypocrite, I always try to stay realistical, if people mention only one side to a story I will point out mine as well, like they say there are two sides to every medal. I created this topic with the intent of discussing the state of the game, I didn't invite you to troll me, even if I did you don't have to do that. What part of this do you perceive as crying? This is just game I like to play, I don't cry over it, I like discussing stuff though, if I see something that could maybe be improved I at least try and see if something could be done. At the moment I play the game as it is, I will abuse the mechanics for what they are just like anyone else playing by these rules, I don't have to be the biggest fan of it though.

The game has been this way the last few ages because one kingdom gets a dominant lead in the first weeks. Since it is impossible to beat a competent kingdom that's larger than you, the smaller kingdom has the choice to give free acres for a ceasefire in the hope of getting the opportunity to catch up later, or fighting and basically being knocked out.

It's possible to beat a competent kingdom that's larger than you, just not if they also have the pump, prep, and setup advantages I'd say. And over the last several ages, it's happened over and over again. (In the last 5 ages, the only times it hasn't was 2 ages ago, where we didn't take a real lead until ~yr4, and 4 ages ago where you guys lost your first war, but got sweetheart deals from everyone else that let you pump your way back in)

The inequal starts of the past few ages are just random. It's not like we did anything special this age; I just put together what seemed like the obvious best OOP build. CR and Pyro stalling each other because CR insisted on a more-than-min-time war helped.

Doesn't matter what duration that war runs, you guys run away with the age as a result tbh. The war ran like 5-6h over mintime, as well -- not like it ran super long. But when two top kds engage eachother and neither one can gain meaningful land from the other while a third is able to farm the server, it is pretty crushing to those two kds. If Pyro hadn't insisted on war, it would have been different.

I've considered what would happen if you played the game without ceasefires/deals of any sort. My main conclusion is that you'd probably get gb'd for it.

I don't think you'd get GB'ed, you'd just get vultured and farmed out of the top. I tried it a few times ~20 ages ago. No CFs means you fight someone without break and eventually lose because of the prep/pump gap. After you lose once, you're out.

This is not an Emeriti problem, this is a noncompetitive top sector problem. If we have 3 kingdoms in the top who won't engage each other then this in itself is an attempt to land starve Emeriti; by strategy or by coincidence. It's not that it's a bad strategy, it's that the alliance has managed to create a boredom bomb. Saturation of your kingdom cores, many war kingdoms and any non allied whoring kingdom suffer the collateral damage.

It's not just feyrplay, it's the cooperation or coercion that accompanies the effort. Aim higher or handicap yourselves to enjoy the game at a challenging level.

Are you talking about Doctor Doom? I've got nothing to do with that (am no a part of either of the KDs), it's just an example how uncompetitive this game can get 6 weeks in. I don't do multies or FSU razing. I'm not pissy about it, it has nothing to do with me directly, indirectly though this is the game we are playing and some people don't seem overly ecstatic about the current system, I'm fine with it though, but I think Utopia can do better if the right people cared and put in the work.

Agree with this. In the end it's all about keeping the action going. Too many people in the top are bored to death with their own gameplay.

Actually, you have it backwards. If Feyrplay were ahead of Emeriti, it would certainly hold Emeriti back because they'd had a series of expiring deals that they'd have to deal with one kingdom then the next, etc. Because Emeriti is ahead, FP not fighting eachother doesn't land starve Emeriti; it results in them land starving eachother by removing targets.

Hypocrite how exactly? I don't cheat, I don't like it when others cheat. I don't like the system in which trying to war others your size can only be considered foolish if your goal is to get ahead of the competition. I don't like that I have to abuse game mechanics to get anywhere to compensate, I will do it because I like to play competitively the best I know how otherwise I might just delete my account. Game is what it is atm, cheating is where I draw the line and I will not cheat to compete with other people cheating but I'd do anything else that doesn't go against my word.

if your super pissy about tax why not feed like u did and have war kds raze him. My guess is that every freaking pure attaccker >1200 acres can raze him. 7k acres can be razed off by 30-40 multis before hes army in ;)
