People need to stop *****ing on faes. Yeah, TMs in war kds gets honor and don't lose it. Yeah they are toptier acre/nm in their kd (they are pretty much useless if not). This is not because Faes are good, this is because it is the function of a t/m. Be unbreakable and support attackers. Yes fae does it better, but if you nerf them to oblivion, there will only be another dominant TM race. The main reason why everybody takes fae is simple; they can do every spells/ops. (AW sucks/props is honor whoring half the time, but GA is good, yeah) Why bother having a elf for pf, a undead for chastity (gl with -25% sci to get on harder targets), a human for LS, when you have Fok, ToG, RM and all of these on every tm if you go all fae? Easier for support and coordination (as long as a TM is online you have access to every support spells possible)
I'd say remove access to all spell, but nobody will ever want that :P As long as every race is specific and fae can do everything but attacking, they'll be overplayed, unless you make them unplayable.
If you have more specific spellbook (and ops maybe?) every race will be played, because you want to use every good stuff to your disposition. Now, there's no need to do so, so why bother?

Partially dishonest, (most likely not intentional) statement.
It is a bonus because the standard by which we judge is the previous age's race settings.
They performed well above average last age with this negative, and by removing it they are bonused above last age.
Any idea when final changes will be out?

who cares if one race is overpowered compared to other? the game is not played 1 vs 1, but 25 vs 25, kingdom vs kingdom. and in this, every province of those 25 can have different roles, but for sure faery is not OP, it just fulfills a certain role better than all other races. there are roles it cant fulfill, if u dont believe that go check how many war wins Palem kingdom has.
when TFC will get 1 war win i will admit faery is OP :P
I'm just gunna throw out there that I'd still like to see the -building time buff from Shepard reintroduced to a pers. Sage would make sense, but you'd maybe need to tone down some of its current attributes.
Add Blue/Magenta/.. color for reflected spells (spell message box)!!!
The problem is not that one race is more powerful.. its that you are required to run a certain number of Faeries or you are at a disadvantage.
Having one race being too over powered is the enemy of innovation and variety.
If you want TMs in your kingdom (everyone does), then your a fool if you dont make them Faeries.
I don't want TMs in my kd. Attackers are way better in every situation.
Faeries are my favorite race. Has nothing to do with the role they've been pigeonholed into.
Faery with 5/5 leets, -2 generals, -5% population, and no more t/m gains bonuses. Viable?
Would be nice to make tming less timeconsuming. Im quitting utopia in part because it cost ne too much time and i dont like attacking. If you try and play this with a telephone or with slow connection it can take you like 15 minutes to empty mana and stealth. So why not give the option to cast multiple spells in a row; select spell; province name ; number of spells/ops. like 20 fbs and then they all show up at once in a list. Another possibility would be to select a list of provinces to cast
duration spells on, saving time again. Just let the provinces all appear on screen and select the boxes on which ones you want to cast.
Lets make faeries elite 0/6 and give them 5% extra pop. Make their ospec -2 pts for another 5% pop. Like any of these penalties hurt faeries at all ....
They're designed for T/M. Upping the T/M part and negating offensive units/generals/attacks/gains means absolutely nothing EXCEPT cornering them into t/m role even further but at the same time, making t/m much stronger. I am arguing that their T/M role is way OP. It doesn't mean that I think faeries as a WHOLE is OP. Of course not, they're incapable of attacking. But each kingdom have roles, attackers, t/ms. Playing a faery next age with current changes will make them the BEST T/M. What i'm trying to say is, designing a race strictly for 2/3 of the mechanic of the game makes them too OP at it. They might not strive in ghettos but in an organized kingdom with specific roles, they will excel over all.
Agree with Bukharistan on the ops thing... it's a colossal pain in the ass to reload the ops page multiple times.

Just a note from me about the changes.
I'm getting numbers for orcs and undead up in the 60-70 opa range. For a T/M to be "unbreakable" that would mean something in the 80 dpa range. Faery and Elf shouldn't have a problem here. Human a little, but that 5% bonus helps. And they will need science right away. You have provided a chance for that with ToG and FoK. Halfers, however, are not viable here. It takes to many defensive units to get that 80 dpa that there isn't enough left for much of T/M. Suggestion here of raising the elite to 5/5, 5/6 if you want them as an A/T possibility.
halfers and elves have the same defensive value in potential changes.

Maybe gaining little more honor on attack when not in war would add something too.
Why would Orc/UD be in the 60-70 opa range? Assuming people train the same ratios as last age, 8 epa plus average TG (125% total OME) is reaching 70 opa, not including honor, generals, ponies and Warrior.
As an aside - I can't believe how many people underrate Warrior this age. With the bare minimum of economic support Warriors are so ridiculously OVERPOWERD!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? in war, yet so many people have their panties in a bunch over Tactician. If I were to pick a setup for a warring kingdom I'd go with a Warrior attacking core above just about anything else. I guess it's fair since they got nothing going on in peacetime, but I'm shocked at how often Warrior is disregarded considering how strong it is.
If people want to talk about unbreakability during war, people need to factor in Warrior's ability to shatter almost any defense if they're played properly.
Could people please, for the love of god stop throwing the term 'OP' around. Just because something is good and effective at what it's designed to do, doesn't mean it's overpowered. It means it works lol

Maybe I should restate that Warrior is OP compared to how it's normally regarded in these conversations (basically as if it doesn't exist).
edit: Faery would laugh at +20% mil losses. If they're going to get hit, they're going down with or without combat losses, and offensive combat losses for a faery are a joke in any setup.
ok Palem, you know what...maybe what is being said about Fay's being OP'd as a race is incorrect. How about what they have access to is OP'd. SPELLS that fays have access to are OP'd. Is that better? Fireball is overpowered, MS is overpowered(kills everything except wizards) NS is overpowered. Why should NS kill troops that aren't at home. How can something be hit when it isnt there? Why not limit what the fay has access to as well as an honor penalty(-30% honor since that seems to be the bonus you get on everything else). It seems that its only going to get worse next age if what I read that caps are going to be raised.

Saying something is over powered is fine if it is.
All it means is that it is too effected based on the options to counter it.
The fact that it is effective is assumed. The fact that is is designed to be effective is assumed.
ITT: palem gets mad that people keep pointing out that faery is OP so that it gets a nerf.
