Sure, growth cap is already reached, non-sage isn't going to have much time to get sci this age.

Dear Flogger. Are you up for 1 on 1 tutelage on IRC when you're not busy?
Great you may hear from me from time to time :)
What is the best way to bring a bank down fast. what ops should be done in sequence. lets say a faery bank or human bank
When you whore land and took too many lands and someone offered war. lets say you have been on 40% draft after gaining too much land. How many days in fort do you need and what are the sequence you do in fort to come out fully warbuild?
Hi,
I just rerolled as halfer rogue and since the pop bonus and the malus to pop growth halfling has, I was wondering what would be a good ratio of homes? I'm gonna be a t/m in a warring kd.
no one's beating timecube without a bank, even the top kds now full pumped on their biggest attackers are 200-250k offense vs that banks 1M defense if it felt threatened. Leet defense immune to NS and NM, Clear sight, mystic so good WPA, can't be taken down. My strategy vs them would be b2b wars, eventhough even that would be a longshot. Setup your core to eat their 2nd tier, if you can farm the core and the halfers down, you can have enough land to then maybe bounce it at the start of round 2.
This is a Basic Strategy question and it probably sounds very "noob".
I've been playing this game for a lot of years and never really cared too much about what I'm going to ask. Only now is it really starting to matter to me.
When you are in War and are an Attacker, you are making attacks every 12hrs or less.
With a build time of 16hrs, after a few rounds of hits you end up with 2 sets of buildings that are "In Progress" of being built.
This brings my %'s of building actually built WAY DOWN.
Like if I am running 12-15% Rax, I end up with 4-6% Rax actually built, with the remainder "In Progress".
My question is; Is there a way to counter this problem, other than double building those Buildings that directly relate to War(Rax, TG, GS, WT, Hosp)?
I have tried to speed build every 3 or 4 hits I make and this seems to help a little. But I still have terrible %'s.
Please try to really answer this question instead of slapping me around for asking such a stupid question.
It makes it hard to ask questions when Trolls are always saying stupid #@!% instead of really trying to help people out.
This seemed like a thread where I might get some real help.
If I'm wrong, Oh well.
But if not, then thanks in advance.
NEW POST ON NEXT PAGE!!
In war you just have to focus on core and over build to get necessary %. When you attack you obviously want raxs and TGs as priority. So for first hit use all land into those two buildings then make the rest up on the next hit. I have also found when I have a lot of raxes being built it can be benifical to add an hour to ensure army is home after raxes come in then hit.
Yeah, I mean there's no way to combat it. Very few if any attackers have the gold to afford double buildings, you just have to overbuild your important ones to keep them at the %'s you want and sacrifice the less important ones.
Usually when I play attacker, I keep alot of land barren and save building credits, because usually I'd run out of money to build if I get chained and I really need to make sure I stay 100% built
how would you allocate / prioritize sciences on a dwarf heavy attacker this age?
When core attacker I normally just concentrate on Rax / TG as these are effective if you get chained or grow. If you do some how grow "Unbreakable" I'd then start to adjust the builds to %'s before war but that's if I know I am becoming unbreakable.
It depends on case to case. Most kingdoms will take out highest off attackers first, If you are one you'd want GS in your builds... If you are 3/4th highest attacker, after your initial wave I'd build 50-50 GS / Rax as you will most likely be taken out on the 2nd/3rd waves.
Basically top 4 offensive provinces are the most likely to be chained, whilst the rest will be left to grow so you need to adapt your buildings to foreplan the next waves as like you said building takes longer than when your armies will return etc. You have to think/consider 2 waves ahead of where you will be placed in kd order / how likely it is you will be chained.
O yeah it also depends on your opponents army times etc. If they are <10 hour hitters you need to plan more waves ahead so maybe start to get the GS %'s in if you are 6/7th highest etc.
I have heard from others that it is 'common practice' to have your chained provinces (those sitting basically on land defense with lots of offense) to 3x TM in war and 1x plunder oow to fund drakes / rune stock for the kd for MS blankets, or have a friend release all their thieves oow and steal all their gold / runes as a farm. What are your thoughts on this kind of play, flogger?
Do you feel this is common practice?
Against a Heavy hybrid Kd of say 2/3 hybrids, is it still best to send an emerald dragon first or should you go sapphire right from the getgo when rune stocks/stealth are high?
Do learn attacks reduce the number of undistributed books of science or just the allocated? Thx
I dont know why the plundered kd would retaliate if they are friends of the people hitting into them and organized a thief release / farmout of gold/runes to the said kd at war. You can also find pretty easy inactive gold stocks around for the small chained provinces that would have an extremely low chance of retaliation.
I'm pretty sure these kd's would not be hitting into an active top kd for gold. I agree that the plundered kd should raze kill in retaliation... but that's not how things work in the real world.
I don't do it nor have I or will I ever do it. Don't know why asking a question automatically implies that I do or have done it to some people, but whatever. It was just something that was said by a leader in a public utonet channel saying it was 'common practice' which threw me off a bit. I would think that it would result in some heavy GBing to occur or RKing of the chained provinces of the kd doing it.
Sounds like it's not as 'common practice' as this person made it out to be. I'll just have to take occasional CE's during war to make sure these type of practices are not done to me. You usually don't think to take CE's during a war since the hits should be on your kd... but it makes me wonder how often people stoop to these low tactics.
I understand that many of you think it is best to tie in my Army Return Times to my Building Completion Times.
That does indeed make sense.
I have considered it before, but wouldn't that just defeat the purpose of Barracks.
And if it does defeat Barracks, wouldn't it be simpler to not build any Barracks, thus allowing a slower attack time and having your Buildings complete when you normally return home.
I like the sound of this, but my Kingdom Mates do not.
They want a less than 12 hours hit rate for all attackers in War.
So I am still stuck with the only solution I have ever seen and that is to build 3 or 4 core Military type buildings like Barracks, Training Grounds, Guard Stations, Watch Towers and the like, and allow the other types of Buildings such as Guilds, Farms, Towers and such to go Un-Built for a couple of rounds of hits. Then every 3 rounds or so, I can play catch up with them.
BUT, that does not solve the problem of my %'s being way out of whack while all of this building is going on.
Would it help to leave large tracts of land Un-Built?
Do you lose Un-Built land first, or is it at a rate similar to everything else?
And even that won't really help the %'s being messed up.
So maybe OVER-Building certain Buildings before going in to a War.
Do you guys think that would work?
Like instead of 20% TG, have maybe 30% to start off with.
Then when the %'s would normally be messed up, the %'s for the OVER-Built Buildings would be closer to normal levels.
I know this will totally screw up my building strategy, but I would just have to make an entirely different War Strategy to compensate for the messed up %'s I am getting during War.
Any more ideas or comments on the ideas given so far would be helpful.
I've gotten alot out of what has been said so far and really appreciate all of the thoughtful comments.
Avian core vs halfling core, how do you play both sides? I assume from this thread you feel like the halflings have the upper hand correct?
What would win :
KD A
5 Faery Mystics
20 Orc Clerics
vs
KD B
5 Faery Mystics
5 Halfling Rogues (Turtlers until they can safetly hit)
15 Halfling War Heroes
I said orcs as with high WT the halflings crazy high TPA becomes redundant. A one way sapphire from Kd B to KD A has no effect if the orcs are running something like 35% WT. As KD A I would send back an Emerald / Ruby and take out 2 of the halfling rogues first wave (After an NM wave), 2 the next (another NM wave) and last one on 3rd(one more NM). I'd then split my orcs into teams to take out 4 of the halfling WH a wave but leave the higest acre halfling there for my faery to LL. Kd A's faeries are also hitting.
With TD the halflings would be running around 16modtpa (With effects from dragon, invisibility, no dragon, TD's, 4 raw TPA)
Oppinions on who would win? Would kd A be able to successfully neutralise kd B's halfling rogues in time?
My KD is not at war but I would be curious to know who is doing it. It might be the KD with the leader that was posting about it in utonet.org irc channels. That's where I got the interest from because I had always thought it to be a very ****play tactic and should be GBed for doing something like that. 1v1 should be how things are played, but we play in a very different age with so many dealbreakers, kd farming out to others, etc.
Or maybe this form of ****play really is more common than I think.
