Fire can and will kill a Targaryen. Magic can be used to protect someone from fire, which was used in Valyria (most likely) and when Dany survived Drogo's funeral pyre...but get on topic please lol
Also, she is called "stormborn" because she was born during a storm. It's not a family title or anything. More like a nickname lol
