Game Needs More Good kds Competing

Yea, you're right in that a win is never meaningless. It's a good achievement to win #1 and those kd's deserve an applaud for a job well done. What I disagreed with is the point about #1 in nw being the only win that matters. C.f. my earlier post, if it is someone's goal to win a war at +15% range or whatever Persain used as an example, that's their win. This is the same for every sport and every other competition, there are awards for many different things. Someone just won the world medal in a competition to hit a golfball the longest. The guy barely played golf and had no interest of winning a golf game from what I gathered, he just wanted to be best in the world at hitting that ball as far as possible. Let him :)

So if the Dallas Mavericks go 0-82, but have the most rebounds in the league, they should be happy with themselves? No. That means they're bad and missed the whole point of the league, which is to win the championship, which you don't earn by getting the most rebounds.

If you could win 0 wars and still crown, then I would be happy to agree with you that warring is warring, and whoring is whoring. But it's not. The top's wars are not only just as legitimate but they're also way more IMPORTANT. If Polar Bears beat Slaves, well that's all fine and dandy. Polar Bears get to tell Slaves that they suck until they war again. If Sanctuary loses to Beastblood, it's game over for Sanctuary. Sorry for devoting weeks of your time into achieving your goal, because it's all over now (obviously there are exceptions, but it's usually true).

The kd that hits #1, more often than not, is the kd that balances all the aspects of the game and does them the best. They usually go undefeated in wars (against quality opponents). They managed their whoring effectively. They managed their diplo and avoided troubles at the right time. They kept their roster full, ect.

So that guy can hit a golfball really far? Great. Don't say he's a good golfer. Don't even say he's a golfer. Golfing is about more than driving. It's about driving, and reading puts, and judging wind, and getting out of bunkers, and making good shots. If an actually golfer wants to spend 100% of him time just focusing on driving and ignoring all the other skills, then he's a crappy golfer and he's never going to win a game.

This is the problem of TFC. Your "wars" are just hostiles with a possibilty to never end. This is why 25 faerys makes no sense cause they cant war. Its counter-productive. If you are true in what you say and you want everyone to try and be better KDs then you really need to reconsider your gameplan man. Your just a dead KD on the server that no one wants to fight and thus you grow from that. If someone however fights you then they will be a open farm after 2 weeks. I dont think this was how the game was intended to be played. You come very close of abusing game mechanics imo. If this was a one age wonder or anything it be all fine. But its not. Its like some kind of twisted ideology you have about faerys and longterm its rather dangerous to all warring KDs because i see you are turning more aggressive then previous ages. You hit us into hostile for example. You are starting to make moves and you are starting to overall annoy people on the forum and ask them to wave you. I see your KD as a problem and i would happy get ridd of it from this server if i could do it single handed. Its not something that is good for the game. Seems people are scared of you even. Palem i have nothing but disrespect for what you been doing lately. You talk **** about my KD and want to change others. Have a real good look at yourself. You tell Simians they are **** cause they farm Mercy. Who the hell made sure we could farm them? Ur 25 faerys is BS.

Cause the messenger think he has the right to tell people what they should do, then he goes on about how things should be while he lacks the experince of everything. Its not the messages that wrong its the unqualified messenger.

DropBearZ Won the Land, NW and Honor crown in one age on WoL many years ago. Even though WoL was the weaker server, it is still quite an achievement

I agree with all of palem's points.

It's a waste of energy trying to convince people though lol. This game is too multi-dimensional atm, and until the rules of the game change, it's nearly impossible to put together a new top kd.

You will not find a single player outside the entire top 10 that wants to play for #1 or cares about it. I know because i asked every single monarch in game last round (literally pm'd everyone, no joke) what they're plans are with their kd. Every single one said "no, we just want to war"* when i asked if they ever wanted to build a top kd.

WWs and Honor rankings are pretty much killing this game. People don't understand that it's actually funner playing for #1.

* - i like to call this phrase: mindlessly warring. It's fun at first, but eventually it gets boring. Not burnout -players come back after burnouts- , but boring -players dont come back-, and i believe this is the primary reason why most players quit this game for good.
