Say I have to make a hit at 2am. And I won't be doing that. I may be chained with my army home. Maybe I am supposed to start off a chain. If I in fact do not show up, that is potentially bad for my province but definitely bad for my kingdom.

Now I can set a sitter over night, and suddenly the KD has a province available (at a cost $) that otherwise would not have been, allowing for strategies to be carried out which would be impossible without the sat province or less effective.

In a game where activity is necessary, unequivocally so, particularly during war, and is directly correlated to success, it is nothing but disingenuous to claim that the ability to have another person play your province during hours when you're unavailable is not an advantage over kingdoms that chose not to pay for this feature.
