Yes! This is what I'm talking about. See, more people need to use their education as leverage and use it to appeal to truth. I do it all the time with my Masters and it looks really cool. Good on ya.

Let's get the clear wording here...

A few interesting things pop up...

No where does it state a timetable on when the money transfer is to take place, or more notably, that both players had to give their money to ASF before the war ended. It only states that ASF is to act as a middle party to ensure neither side is scammed.

At no point did ASF agree to be a part of this bet. Along with that, both sides agreed to the $100 wager before the additional term involving ASF was added.

"If you want" is hardly strict contract vocabulary. What Kuhan wanted was to not be scammed out of money and was willing to adhere to your suggested method of ensuring he wasn't.

except its a game not real law. And the spirit of an agreement is often the founding issue NOT the exact words.

i think a justified response would be to raze kill Proteus for deal-breaking (money to ASF or not they had an agreement). I'd really like to hear what Sanc/HoH/Havok say about this if people would be willing to back Kuhan up.

Palem makes some great points. It boils down to these 2 quotes:

I don't think Proteus should be held accountable for the 'deal'. How can we be sure that KuhaN would have paid if he lost?

Everyone on this forum just rages and trolls. You can all have a worse opinion of Proteus if you want, but penalizing him for not honouring a $100 bet made on a whim in a game forum would be

Because he agreed to it in exactly the same fashion that Proteus did. If he tired to weasel out of it like Proteus is doing, he would be recieving the same treatment.

It works both ways, if Sanc won KuhaN would be here arguing about how Proteus wouldn't have paid had he lost.
If both betting parties were serious, they should have found an escrow to hold the funds. That wasn't done, the 'bet' is just for show.
    Just my opinion...

lol at this ridiculous notion that money has to be held in escrow for a bet to happen. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. If you won't honor a bet, don't make it.

They did, Proteus suggested ASF while Kuhan couldnt get hold of ASF its rather pointless but as a gentleman Proteus should still owe up to his deal.

That essentially sums it up. The fact that they tried getting ASF means they were both serious about the bet. Suddenly you're no longer serious cuz you lost? That's a punk's way out.

Thus the comment about the rest of abs + HoH, if all you had to wory about was rage im sure plenty of people would step up, i mean Proteus wants a crown a long fight w/2-3 kds would 100% remove that chance. Only difference between Proteus and KuhaN is

if KuhaN backed out he'd have Proteus trolling him in the forums and things like suggested raze killing for deal breaking would suffer no retals or complaints as Proteus would have full backing of his allies.

They attempted to do so. The suggested person wasn't reachable and another, more available person was never suggested.

Don't make bets you don't plan on keeping. It paints you as an untrustworthy figure.
